Also if they don't make the playoffs this year the 1st is deferred to next year.

Not a horrible scenario, but I think the consensus is the pick would be better spent this year.

There is a very strong chance the Blues miss the playoffs though. They do have Bouwmeester afterall.

Aside from generic Canuck-hate, it would actually be better for the Blues to lose, especially if the Wild lose. We want them to stay in either 7th or 8th so that they get a first round exit and we get the best draft pick possible.

As I posted in the Drive for 30th thread, the Blues have a pretty easy schedule for their 7 remaining games:
- 6/7 games are at home.
- 5/7 games are against non-playoff/bubble teams
- Only 1 back-to-back game.
- 1 game in hand over all of the teams around them.

This game against the Canucks is one of the few "tough" games the Blues have left.

realistically, Florida won't catch the Flames, so I think the Isles winning is better, as they can catch the Blues in the points standings, and give the Flames a better pick. Best would be a three point game

Many three point games would be good for the Flames and the Blues draft picks

Carolina/Ottawa, Philly/NYR, Edm/Minny - a win or loser point by any of these teams would help

It's pretty hard to get the #1 pick when the Oilers go into their all tank mode.

I hope Clutterbuck knees the crap out of Hall tonite.

Every time I see that picture, the only thing I can think of is how did his knuckles get so beat up? It sure wasn't from his tough physical game or a fight.

Car - Ott is a win/win (Ott can pass Stl)

Phi - NYR is a win/win (though I think the FLyers are far enough ahead now that an NYR win is better)

Fla - NYI is a win/win though Fla would be better

Wash win would be good

Oil - Min is a win/win if the Oil win, they drop in the draft standings and if Minny wins, they open up space ahead of StL

I would like to see StL lose. I think they are safely in the playoffs at this point.

The OOT these days is so entertaining!

I bet Feaster will end up taking another player off the board with the Blues' pick, so really it won't end up mattering whether we're picking 19th or 25th realistically.

Games on national television

1700h

at

Game is on TSN. The Leafs are on the brink of a playoff
spot and are 7-1-2 in their past ten games. The opposing
Capitals are just as hot at 8-1-1 and have won seven games
in a row. Despite playing well and taking over the Southeast
Division lead, they are only four points up on the ninth
place Jets. This is easily the game of the night, enjoy it.
The previous two games were 3-2 for the Leafs in regulation time,
expect the same score but for the Capitals this time.

Game is on NBCSN and RDS
in french, there is no simulcast
of this game on TSN2 due to the Raptors game on that channel.
The Rangers are also hanging on to a playoff spot by just two
points over the Jets. The Flyers are the spoilers here and will
try and ruin the Rangers season.

Game is on NBCSN which was recently added and will simulcast
the Sharks feed. This game could be a preview to a first round
meeting between these two teams. The Kings are currently in
fourth place and the Sharks are fifth. This is the second best game
of the night and should have a playoff feel to it.

The Senators at Bruins game that was postponed yesterday will be played on Sunday, April 28. It will be the only game in the NHL since the regular season was scheduled to end the day before.

That could turn out to be an incredible game. The division title could likely be on the line in the last game of the NHL season.
