How to market/sell items at U of C

CP brain-trust,

Apologies if this should be in another forum, but figured I'd give it a shot.

A friend has recently lost her job so she's thinking of alternate ways to make some money selling items.

Wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to sell accessory type items at a table in Mac Hall (or other high traffic area at U of C) or is that verboten? I seem to remember some hustlers/hippies running some tables and selling various baubles a few years back but not certain if that was just my version of reality at the time. I guess we weren't sure who to contact: Mac Hall Building manager?

If not, any suggestions for other high traffic areas like that for a similar demographic? We just checked the prices of a mall kiosk and almost gagged on the price.

IIRC you need to get permission from either the Students Union, or Campus Security.

Not sure what she's selling, but have you looked into maybe opening an Etsy shop?

I've seen tables selling stuff in the plus 15 in both the TCPL tower and Gulf Canada Square downtown. I'm not sure if that would be the demographic you'd be looking for or not, would depend on what you were selling. Would have to speak to building management, I suppose.
