He still managed to get a couple chances, but he was definitely limited tonight. They played him hard.

His assist came on the powerplay.

Got an assist.

Other then that the team kept trying to spring him on breakaways as usual which never worked.

Passed out on the couch when it was 2-0. Woke up to a nice surprise.

Another awesome coaching display in the playoffs by T-Mac who looked completely lost when the Sharks adjusted and turned it up, meanwhile the Oilers reverted to trying to play Oilyaz hockey which lead to a dominating performance by the Sharks for most of the game.

The Sharks started playing playoff tempo hockey in the second and the Oilers didn't have it.

If it wasn't for a really heroic performance by Talbot and 3 goal posts this is a laugher, Edmonton didn't look like they were even in the same league as the Sharks and that's without Jumbo Joe.

I'm betting that T-Mac's adjustment is something like "Durrr I think I'll play Conner more"

Kris Russell was atrocious tonight as was Gryba.

The forwards outside of HolyDiver were non existent like they have been all year. And good for the Refs for actually calling playoff hockey.

44-19 in shots, brutal.

Oh and all of the other Canadian teams lost so all in all a good night.

The Sharks did a great job of clogging up the neutral zone and not allowing McDavid and the Oilers from gaining any speed while crossing the blue line. Oilers looked frustrated in the last 2 periods and into OT.

I'm so happy the sharks won tonight, but I also get a kick out of the fact that McJesus's dad couldn't be bothered to wear an Oilers jersey while in attendance for the game.

You can bet that the Oilers management will correct that for game two.

Oilers are no good.

Talbot was the first star because he deserved it. This game could have been a blowout by San Jose if it wasn't for Talbot. He was the best player on the ice. You can play bad for the whole game but score the OT winner should not propel you to 1st star of the night. Remember Hextall winning the Conn Smythe as playoff's MVP on the losing team in the Stanley Cup Finals. Hextall deserved it over Gretzky who had 34 points in 21 games.

By making him pick up a jersey off the ice and wearing it?

Mrs. McJesus was wearing Maple Leafs colour which Conner will do when he is eligible for UFA and get away from the Oilers' Stink. Bahaha

I am still not altogether impressed by the Sharks, but my god, they are a far, far superior team to Edmonton.

I'm in New York this week...didn't stay up for the whole game.

Checked the scores this AM... massive fist pump when I saw the final in this one.

Now I wish I'd stuck it out

I think you can partially blame the Jets bandwagon jumpers for this loss. Misery seems to follow them around.

They didn't. Season ticket holders were given a free orange jersey last season.
