I don't get why the dad is so pissed, the kid made a choice and ####ed up getting all pissy isn't going to do anything. Maybe he was trying to make him cry the glow #### out. Also why isn't their first instinct to wash it out??

The best part is his dad told him not to microwave it.

This dad doesn't seem particularly concerned that his son just had shards of glass and boiling glow stick fluid explode in his face.

Well he better not sue now, after all his dad told him to not put the glow stick in the microwave, he has no excuse for it.
Rule #1487 of life: #### around with microwaves and you're going to get burned.

Yeah, too bad CP doesn't have a thread for these kind of videos. Oh well what can you do.

I thought the crackling thing inside the glow stick was glass? If not, what is it? Even Wiki says it's a glass vial.

There is a glass vial. When broken it releases hydrogen peroxide which initiates the chemical reaction to produce light through chemiluminescence.

Ah. I was thinking the stick itself. That makes sense though.

I found it funny that the father had to specifically tell him not to microwave before it happened. The kid must be a serial microwaver of things or something.

When I watched the video I did not initially think of the glass.
Those chemicals (hydrogen peroxide/solvent) are pretty nasty to get in the face.

I used to make electric arcs with grapes in the microwave... but never a glow stick. Curiosity?
