I will check what is closer to Penticton (and Naramata, OK Falls).

There are a number of motels close to the beaches on OK Lake and Skaha Lake.

they send them - i met hall the one year and he refused to sign an oilers number kit for a jersey. i probably should have taken my flames jersey off before asking him - ha!

Isn't this a non-NHL sanctioned event, meaning the teams themselves can define the eligibility requirements of players?

Probably wouldn't have made a difference what jersey you were wearing. I've met him a few times, he's a dink

Last year was my first time attending and it was great.

Some random thoughts:

I flew Air Canada so had to fly YYC to YVR then to Penticton with the reverse on the way back. Westjet now flies direct and I think the flights are about $320 return right now flying Friday returning Tuesday. The jaunt to YVR actually wasn't too bad last year.

I opted to stay near the SO Events Centre (Sandman) and it was about a $20 cab ride from the airport to the hotel. From there it was walking distance so no rental car was needed. I'd looked at flying to Kelowna and renting a car but the price and travel time seemed like it was more trouble than it was worth.

I bought the all inclusive pass but probably would have opted for single game tickets in retrospect. Only the Canuck games were busy and even then I think there were still tickets available. I think this year I'll just wait and get Flames tickets as I didn't end up using all of them.

There are many hotels and motels around the Events Centre, and the beach is only a few blocks away.

All in all it was a good trip and the games are pretty exciting because it's river hockey with a lot of action.

Thanks for the info GoJetsGo.

The link in the OP says when the packages go on sale, but nothing about the individual tickets. Safe to assume at the same time?

Guessing individual tickets go on sale August 15th when the packages are no longer available.

Have the time booked! Can't wait till the 11th. Also a quick tip, last year i did the will call pick up option. Only problem is everyone is also picking their tickets up before the first game, which will be the flames again. I missed the first five minutes of the game as the lineup was huge.

Pay the money for the ridiculous "delivery" fee and print them out. Such a hassle

Yes, that was why Sven was mad when he had to go. He had exactly 25 games played at that time, so if he had played one more game, he wouldn't have had to go.

I believe there's also an age limit. IIRC, Wolf wanted to play last year, but he wasn't allowed to because he was too old.

Last year I had vip tickets. It gave me access to the club seats and the restaurant was right behind our section. The tickets were 90 bucks or so for all the games. These new 290 tickets talk about a private bar and buffet. Last year the buffet was in the restaurant and anyone could go in to the bar. I sure hope I can use the restaurant with regular "v.i.p" tickets as the food was decent. No way I pay 290 for 6 buffet meals. I'd rather get a pizza and some beer of the restaurant menu. They had great pizzas!!!

I do remember I was irked about the delivery fee so out of principal I chose to pick them up. Yeah, not this time. Either pay the fee or show up really early.

Pay $0 to have them print it, hold it for you, staff someone to give it to you

Vs

$5 to deliver it to your email address.

Soooooooooo annoying

i agree - that was pretty stupid. i know in previous years they had kiosks as you approached the arena where you could get the will call tickets printed and then in you went - so much better

I saw RNH go up head to head against Schielfele ... in their first games as a pro... played really even. RHN on to the Calder Cup finalist that season and Schiefele back to junior for 2 years
