Saving the reported 50 g's is going to pay dividends in the home stretch of the season when NFL cuts come calling. Tate is one of the guys who truly put the team first during his time here as others have alluded to. He deserves a quick tribute when Ottawa comes to down next season.

Tate deserves a tribute for this play alone:

Nice find tvp2003, Tate was probably lucky to avoid a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for removing his helmet while still on the playing field (I know it chapped the asses of many Riders fans).

The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent international defensive lineman Bryan Hall.

Hall has played a total of three CFL seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts and he previously appeared in five games for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens.

Congrats to former Stamps RB Kelvin Anderson on being named to the 2017 CFL Hall of Fame class. I wish I had one of his bobbleheads.

I'm pretty sure I have an extra, still in the box. If you cover the shipping I'd be happy to send it to you

Sure would be nice to host and win the Grey Cup game at McMahon.

According to TSN's Gary Lawless, the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos have made bids to host the 2018 Grey Cup.

The last time the CFL's championship game was played in Alberta was 2010, when Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium hosted Montreal's 21-18 win over Saskatchewan.

The year before, Calgary's McMahon Stadium played host as the Alouettes beat the Roughriders 28-27.

I was just coming here with that.

Good news for Tommie, it will be interesting to see his statement, I haven't seen anything else about it.

Solves a major hole that Huff would have had to fill.

Just an FYI

We've updated the teams depth chart on our site

here

We've added Campbell and removed Harrison

http://www.cflhorsemen.ca/depth-chart.html

Also we've posted our first mock 2017 draft done by Barry Britto who has done a good job of nailing the previous drafts.

Good news about Tommie Campbell (more on the personal/family side than the football side).

Sounds like Tommie really needs to re-evaluate some of his friendships.

I'm convinced that the best thing that the Stamps could do for these players is to really encourage them to stay up here in the offseason.

That hurts. Their starting line is still very good but they are pretty razor thin right now. May not be able to handle the rash of injuries they always seem to get as well as they did in the past.

@buzrbe: Stamps shuffling Canadians around, with @leftystamps moving over to offence full-time. He will play guard after he recovers from knee injury
