Interac e-Transfers down for two days and counting..
Of course comes at the exact right time of having to deposit rents...
I'm just surprised I haven't heard about this more in the media, usually huge tech failures for a few minutes get lots of noise, but this has been DAYS. Maybe the # of people who use e-Transfers is still so low?

This sucks to hear since I need to something soon. When did this originally start for you? I remember using it on Saturday and it was fine.

I used it Monday evening to get paid and it was fine. Glad I did, since a few payments would have not been made if it wasn't working.

Haven't had to e-mail money in awhile since I stopped renting, that sucks ass :<
On the plus side, Visa e-Debit still works.

I noticed late Monday I think it was, and the first post to their twitter account was yesterday.

Yeah I've tried dozens of times, get through to my bank login almost all the time now (whereas before didn't even get out of the Interac site), but after I log into my bank site it thinks for a long time then eventually gives me an error.
Their latest updates refer to "configuring a new solution".. which doesn't sound good no matter what way I think about it.

A friend posted about having issues with it yesterday, with her bank (TD). Our bank said nothing until probably about the last hour, when they updated their online banking home page to reflect the issues. I transferred some money between my account and my husband's, internally, and had no issues, but they hadn't said boo about the interac/email transfers at that point - that was about 8 this morning.

I had the same issues. Since I work at a computer I just kept trying. Might be different today though. I was sending money from CWB and receiving Scotia as well as receiving Scotia sent from RBC

They've got a notice up now that they'll have a new URL to try in a few hours.

I loaded one the other night, but it took about 10 minutes to get in. It felt like it was on its last legs.

I was having trouble all day yesterday making a deposit but was able to get it through late in the evening. Good thing too or my mortgage payment would have bounced.

I think all our mortgage payments we've had rescheduled to sometime towards the middle of the month, partially for this kind of reason (money doesn't get where it's supposed to for some unforseen reason).
They claim they're working with banks to make sure people don't get charged NSF fees and such, but there's going to be so many different kinds of scenarios..

It looks as though the problems have returned and most e-transfer services are down. Anyone have a guess as to what the actual problem may be? An update gone bad, followed by a messy rollback? Perhaps a migration gone bad?

Something significant for sure, maybe a migration gone bad combined with a rollback that didn't work or something, they seemed to talk about having temporary pages up while working on their regular servers.
Seems pretty significant for such a big company.
