A few years ago, I won the division with a rag-tag collection of decent talent mixed with vets on their last contracts. A real mish mash. I haven't been able to duplicate it since.

I’m a big believer you need two way guys and guys with grit. I also love the pairing combos of puck mover and stay at home D.

Goalie is a crapshoot, forget the name or ratings. The sim seems to randomly pick a handful of goalies and they are just good regardless of team.

I have a good team every year and always manage to make the playoffs, but haven’t been past the first round in 10 years I don’t think. Not since I lost in the Finals to Ravi.

You don’t think in the last 10 years I haven't tried that? It doesn’t matter at all IMO and I think Duke is 100% correct.

The sim punishes teams that are too strong, I’m just too stubborn to do anything about it.
