Swanson seems to have lost his power and his movement.

Jesus Christ guys. It's his first appearance back after an injury. Give him a break.

It's the Yankees. They do this sort of thing all the time. It's amazing the they've been holding their bats in check for most of this series until now.

Do you pitch around Soto to face a scuffling Judge?

Yep. Saw that coming a mile away.
The bullpen is taxed and they rushed Romano and Swanson back into high leverage situations. It all falls on the offenses inability to get the big hit. So many opportunities this series but they just couldnt step on the throat

What terrible managing... how do you keep Mayza in? How to you keep throwing pitches so far out of the strike zone until you're forced to put one in for Judge? Just terrible

They just didn't have anyone else to use. It's too bad that we've been seeing the bad version of Mayza this year who can't locate his slider.

Kiermaier getting off the schneid is a good thing. Not good enough but they need way more out of CF this year. Hopefully he can build on that.
This is where you need a power threat. Change the game with one swing of the bat.

Well that sucked.
I wonder why Green wasn't available?
Jays got lucky using Romano yesterday, Swanson today was too much in high leverage.
Don't want to use Yimi three days straight I guess, although he only threw 21 pitches in the last two outings.

Swanson coming back that early in a high leverage situation is the only thing on management. Mayza couldn’t find the zone. That’s on him. It sucks that that’s what the combo of clutch hitting and power, does.

Yeah, blew the load earlier in the series with Garcia.
Cabrera maybe could've gone another inning.
Swanson, tough ask after being out for as long but maybe the manager doesn't throw him in to the fire like that first game?
Gausman is back on track and that's the biggest relief.
Some timely hitting as well, and Barry Varsho clubbing them out will be a welcome bonus.
A solid game all around, and full value for their lead, but then snatched that from the jaws of victory.

Varsho with 4 homers in the last 4 games.
That is a great sign hopefully
