It seems completely wild to me that we've stumbled into a somewhat functional bi-partisan house. The far right stunts of creating a revolving door of speakers has made that faction almost completely irrelevant.

This is the actual text of the amendment Moscow Marjorie offered.
Leaving aside the semantic questions of how one develops "space laser technology on the southwest border," what does she actually envision here? A laser-beam from space that ... what ... vaporizes people crossing the border?
Or is she referring to Israel's Iron Beam? A ground-based laser designed to defend against incoming rocket attacks that is currently non-functional?
I understand that she is not a serious person, and nothing she says or does should be taken seriously, but I think it's wildly telling that the second-loudest voice in right-wing politics is such a nincompoop. And, let's be honest, the only reason anything Trump says should be taken seriously is there is a real possibility he may be able to implement his ideas ... which means that, unfortunately, MTG needs to be listened to as, if he gets in, her ability to implement her idiocy increases.

Well, the problem with MTG is that she's obviously not a serious person to most anyone with a brain, but she considers herself to be a deeply serious person who is doing important work. It wouldn't be a problem, but her constituents think she's serious too, and keep voting her in.

I get 10 emails a day from Trump, mostly selling camo'd MAGA hats and the like, it's up from 8 a few months ago and 6 this time last year, it really speaks to the unfocused nature of his begging, I have been getting these for years, at least since 2016, I'm not American. I'm politically a mild socialist and have never given him a penny, you would think at some point 4 or 5 years in my name would have been culled from the database

Vice's The Dark Side of Comedy did an episode on Roseanne that kind of helps explain her extreme personality. She suffered a traumatic brain injury as a child that evidently completely altered her personality. She is, literally, not right in the head.
Now that isn't meant to excuse the mountains of stupid and dangerous s### she's said and done in the past. She's been a part of fringe movements on both the right and left over the years, always struggling to stay relevant. It's clear she craves attention and will pretty well do whatever it takes to get it. The Valerie Jarrett tweet and fallout helped push her into the MAGA sphere, and COVID pushed her into the QAnon horseplop.
I can't pick between Theo and Roseanne. They're both vile. And while their pasts can explain their behaviour it's not a blanket excuse to be a s### human.
