And that's what happens when you don't show up for 2 1/2 periods. Happy to see they actually have some pride in themselves, but too little too late. These guys better bring their A game on Saturday.

Giordano looks all kinds of terrible this year. Horrible play on Nashville's 4th goal, gives it away on a Flames PP and then takes a foolish slashing penalty, can't keep the puck in on a draw won clean by Monahan in the last 30 seconds, all in the 3rd period. He needs to take a real long hard look in the mirror.

At first I thought this was a little Negative Nancy, but in a way you're right
If they had played with even half that gusto the rest of the game, likely a different outcome
Preds tired out pretty suddenly

I would love this lineup so much:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Hayes
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Versteeg - Bennett - Komarov
Ferland - Stajan - Brouwer
Giordano - Hamilton
Brodie - Stone
Jokipakka - Andersson
Johnson
Gillies

Not a fan of Brodie on the 1st PP unit as he is never going to shoot 80% of the time from the point, so teams don't need to respect the point at all.
Swap him and Dougie for the PP as it allows Brodie to play the right side on the second PP unit.

That was a giant stinky turd of a game. At least they didn't mail it in but yuck. That sucked and that score flattered the Flames. I'm shocked they outshot them 35-21.

to be fair their "backup goalie" played well and has better numbers than their #1
I mean the Flames also started their "backup" if we are just going by pedigree

I know dead horse but Wideman is worthless the guy can hardly skate misses the net 99% of the time and is bad at defense.

Johnson gave up two bad goals as well. His glove side is weak, and he gave up the same two goals in the Panther's game. This shakes the confidence of the team big time

Obviously they have the potential to do really good things. They just don't whip it out and use it enough.
Flashes of the comeback kids there. Please bring more of that. We need Gaudreau to stop being a shadow of his former self. Assisted at the end there, maybe that helps?

Saros has started about a fifth of their games
He is clearly the back-up, regardless of numbers

Johnson was due for a mediocre game. He has one or two after every 4-5 decent games. I would've gone with #1, but also heard that he may have tweaked his shoulder/arm a little in practice, so might be a moot point.

So they were saving their energy for the final 5 minutes...just a pathetic effort all around.
Gio needs to be way better, Gaudreau and Brodie as well.
Burn the tape and off to the Oilers. If they come out flat again, heads need to roll.

I like Chad, and this game isn't on him, but they need to give Elliott a run of games.

Yet Gulutzan continues to play him on the wrong side with that useless boat anchor dragging him down. Once again, I wasted a perfectly good evening watching this mediocrity.
