Question Calgary Windshield Chip Repair

Hey all,

Just noticed a chip on my windshield that must of happened when I was driving outta town this weekend.

It's tiny and doesn't seem very deep probably have the size of a penny.

Just wondering where I can/should go in Calgary to get that fixed fast and cheap.

Thanks CP!

Any mall/grocery store parking lot has those portable chip repair huts. $25 and 15 minutes.

Yeah, just go to one of those things set up in a parking lot. They do a good job. When I was in Deerfoot Meadows there was one near the Costco, one near the Mark's Work Wearhouse, and one near Best Buy. Kinda overkill, but no waits!

Keep in mind that fixing a chip doesn't mean the chip will go away completely; it will just be reduced in size / visibility.

I'm assuming the only way for it to go away completely is a complete windshield swap?

The portable windshield chip repair place by my house had two hotties in short shorts and very small tank tops doing their repairs for them. Was always a lineup, though...

How effective are these windshield chip repairs?

There's one company that will give you a free chip repair if you like their Facebook page. I did a quick search and couldn't find it, but it's out there, somewhere.

I use Cal-Alta because they are the cheapest (they usually have a deal where you spend $20 and its good for 3 chip repairs). I've never had an issue with their quality.

Deco is the one with that has tents set up in parking lots and they're good too but more expensive. Convenient though because you can have it done while you're shopping
