Wins only hurt us at this point. The absolute worst thing for this franchise would be to string together a few wins here before the deadline to give management the impression this is still a playoff team and becomes buyers at the deadline. If they continue losing, managements hand will be forced in making changes and to start building for the future.

I can't believe I am trending towards being content with a loss. I hate that mentality but this organization can't seem to figure it out that they need to make massive changes. This is a treadmill team and they need to change the direction

Discussion for another thread, but I like watching the team win games. It's management's job to focus on the future. It's my job to focus on enjoying 2.5 hours. I'm one of the apparent few that would prefer to see a 9th place finish than a top 5 pick. I'd like us to sell our assets at the deadline to help the future, but I'm still going to cheer when we score and curse when the other team scores. I've mocked oilers fans for years for cheering for loses, and I'm not about to become one of them, nearsighted or not.
