When the St. Louis Blues take the ice for their season opener on Oct. 9 against the Rangers, they will be wearing this sweater for the first time.
Recently, I got a sneak peek at the new home jersey the Blues will start using in the fall. And while I don't have any photos to share with you, I was able to recreate what I saw in the graphic above.
Spoiler!

No piping!! Every team that ditches ######ed piping makes me feel so much better.

Time for Calgary to follow suit and make similar changes to our jersey by removing the vertical piping and cleaning it up a bit.
1000x yes!
I like our current jersey fine, but the vertical striping destroys the aesthetic of a "hockey jersey" in my opinion. I'm even fine if they keep the flags on the shoulders, but please clean up the rest.

That would be nice. I'd love to see a concept with the new shoulder patch and an elimination of the piping on the current home/away kit.
Take the current jersey and do the following:
-Remove the vertical piping on the side
-Replace the flags with the shoulder patch on the current third jersey
-Bring back the 'V' neck on the road white jersey and dump the rope
-Add some basic horizontal stripes at the bottom like the Blues jersey above.
Make the retro red jersey the new and permanent third. Bring back the old retro white for select road games such as games in Edmonton and Montreal.

No, it's reallly not. It's ugly, off-kilter and the patches look like they were an afterthought sewn on by the Ken King's grandmother
I actually really like the piping on the white Flames jerseys. It makes it look sleeker. I agree that the shoulder patches aren't the best, but that's really my only criticism of the current Flames jersey.
