Man.. good player, but the Flames made the right call in not raising his jersey to the rafters.
How embarrassed would we be now if we had done so 5-10 years ago.
This kind of goes with why arguing for lining up to employ guys like Kane is probably a mistake in the long run, regardless of how good they are at the game.
Character absolutely should hold weight in this day and age.

Fleury was my favorite player when I was like 13. I also had a huge celebrity crush on Jenny McCarthy.
Needless to say... 13 year old MQS was a *HORRIBLE* judge of character.

I just got off the phone with an American colleague who saw the Fox segment and thinks Theo is the man. He's not quite MAGA, but right leaning.

He didn’t have a good start in life, yet he fought through that and became an outstanding hockey player. He went from what must have been a living hell to the top of his sport. Unfortunately he’ll never exorcise the demons of his youth, maybe this is his way of trying, I don’t know, but he just comes across as a broken person, trying to compensate for it all by seeking validation as someone of importance.

i would say that the flames could unofficially retire it and quietly tell any new comers that it is unavailible
the likelihood of having a formal ceremony seems to be pretty low at this point in time
