Matt Martin would be an improvement on every bottom six winger you just listed. He's got Bollig's size, Jooris' skating, Bouma's forechecking, Hathaway's peskiness all combined with 2015 playoff Ferland's physicality. Plus he's usually good for 5-10 goals and 15-20 points with just 4th line ice time.
He's pretty much the perfect 4th liner, and if the Flames can get him at $1-1.5 million they should do it.

trouble is a guy like that will get over-bid on, and over-paid, at 1.5M no problem, but he'll fetch something like 2.5M from someone, and our salary structure is paramount moving forward.
i'm a fan though and would take martin for that money on a two year deal, I like the player but the term is critical for any incoming UFAs.
i hope that if the flames sign any UFA it would be to a term of 3 years or less.
i'm sure that 'prices us out' of the bidding wars for any of the top names, but adding a hudler, vrbata, or eriksson on a two year 2-4M type deal is a no brainer IMO. the flames need some top six support for their young rebuilding club.
If you see a veteran winger who's a tangible upgrade and will swallow a shorter term deal, you sign him.
