Wonder if Matthews is added to Team NA. Drouin will be, I'm sure.

I agree, its like watching Team Canada without the obvious roster choices that you would normally expect for team Canada's A team and with age consideration

Hopefully one of Giordano or Brodie makes it.

Still cheering for North America though.

Frolik, Gaudreau, Monahan already named.

Other Flames possibilities: Hamilton (TNA); Backlund (SWE); Giordano/Brodie (CAN)

No Bennett for the kid team? Don't see too many other options that aren't already named.

Maybe Bennett, Drouin and??

Fabbri?
Galchenyuk?
Sam Reinhart?
Horvat?
Domi?
Duclair?
Wilson?
Pearson?

Lots of options, but I would think Bennett should get some consideration.

EDIT: Forgat about the 2011 draft class.

Huberdeau
Ryan Straome
Schiefele
Jenner

Bennett will be a long shot IMO.

Jokipakka and Backlund will be only other Flames named. Disappointing Hamilton was not more strongly considered.

Damian Cox (I know, I know) had Brodie in his final six defensemen:

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/world...sions-defence/

Quote:
Given what he’s done in the post-season, Sharks rearguard Brent Burns looks like a shoo-in for the team, which would give coach Mike Babcock three right-handed shooting defencemen to go with the left-handed shooting Keith and Vlasic.

Pittsburgh’s Kris Letang also looks like he's played himself onto the roster with a strong end to the regular season and an impressive playoff run. After that, the picture remains very competitive and very crowded with many candidates, including Montreal’s P.K. Subban and St. Louis backliner Alex Pietrangelo, along with the left-handed shooting Mark Giordano, T.J. Brodie and Jake Muzzin. Chris Tanev and Ryan Ellis, meanwhile, both played well for Canada at the world championship, but there are probably just too many quality D-men ahead of them.

At the end of the day, the three defencemen added are likely to be Burns, Letang and the swift-skating and underrated Brodie. But this is really too close to call.

Team Europe.

Just because.

Thrown together like a tossed salad as an afterthought.

I wonder if Pribyl would have made it if not for the injury.

That comes as little surprise given his lack of inclusion in the past.
