If I had a guess, he's trying to insinuate that Bachmann can't be evil because worse people exist. Obvious argumentative fallacy is obvious. (Not to mention that Bachmann is easily on par with NAMBLA.)
Bachmann preys on the ignorant and weak minded and uses them as puppets to spread her petty hate. Her defenders usually fail to realize (for obvious reason) that this includes them.

So I'm clear on the intent of your post: are you equating all homosexuals with pedophiles and child predators just like Bachmann does?
No, I just thought of the south park episode for some reason and yes she is bat #### crazy

Michele Bachmann calls immigrant children ‘invaders’ and compares them to rapists
Quote:
Outgoing Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) derailed a CNN discussion on Tuesday about the thousands of undocumented immigrants arriving in the U.S. from Central America by calling them “invaders” and linking them to at least one rape case and an auto accident from six years ago.
“Foreign nationals that have come into the United States are between 300- to 500,000,” Bachmann told an incredulous Crossfire co-host Van Jones. “My heart is broken for a female college student in Minnesota who was raped, murdered and mutilated by a foreign national who came into our country. We had a school bus full of kids in Minnesota — four children were killed on that school bus because an illegal alien driving a van went into that schoolbus.”
Quote:
“There are lines that can’t be crossed here,” Jones responded. “I’m sorry, congresswoman. Are you gonna scapegoat children for the crime of this despicable person?”
“We should stand with those children, but we should not scapegoat every one of these kids for that despicable crime,” he said. “You know better as a congressperson than to lay at the feet of these children the acts of a despicable criminal.”
The worst thing about Bachmann is that she won an election. People like her should be filtered by the electorate.
That said, having Bachmann run for president in 2012 pretty much tanked Romneys campaign. The poor guy had to go way further right than he wanted to on social issues to not lose to her in the primary's.

She is just getting ready for a post political career as another pundit to provide fodder to guys like Stewart and Colbert. I can't see how another republican will be able to win another election.
Ps note, jerry Seinfeld needs to be making more comedy other than comedians getting coffee

Reason: Ps note
That was a really painful article to read since it appears the author doesn't actually understand the study they're reading. Reading down, it turns out they completely butchered their interpretation of R values and had to be corrected by fellow Slate staff.
Also...

How did the students do with these photos? They scored an R value of 0.22—again, significantly better than chance, though not by much.
... which is it? If it's significantly better than chance, then how can it be 'not by much'? *slams head into desk*
