Not much of a fan of Justin Timberlakes style of music but you can't deny he's talented. Also hilarious
Kid Cudi is probably my favorite hip hop artist, but his albums have been embarrassing since Man on the Moon II outside of a couple songs. WZRD was a cool idea but it was awful
Drake is one of the better hip hop artists out there right now. Young Money is the reason for all the radio friendly songs but there are a lot of good ones. He's trying to get away from them though and his recent mixtape is solid
Lady Gaga is the best artist to come out in a long long time
Country music is great and there are still good artists like Eric Church, Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton
Music is better now than ever. Like always there's some terrible lazy music on the radio, but there's a lot more variety and talent available to listen to
FSLS I agree was the best, most consistent of his unfortunately limited discography. but on the 20/20 Experience, my favorite songs were the retro sounding ones (Pusher Love, Suit & Tie, That Girl, Take Back The Night). The whole album should have been in that theme/style. instead, all the rest of the songs on 20/20 to me sound like Timbaland farting for 7-8 minutes, just to get JT out of his album recording obligations as quickly as possible and back into making movies.
I remember hearing "Not A Bad Thing" and thinking that it sounded like an extra bad *NSync song.
Haha yeah and the best part is corsileague came in here and called everyone out for that exact same thing then did it himself.
I thought everyone basically thought she was a hack and a fake. Which, when it comes to lyrics and actual musicality she's pretty bad. Does everyone really agree with me on that? Best live performer of the last decade? I'm surprised, that's not my sense of the zeitgeist.
The Radiohead one above me sure qualifies as unpopular.

I don't personally love Gaga...some of her stuff is all right...but she definitely can sing.
If Radiohead's plan was to incessantly rip-off the score to "The Little Mermaid" while writing lyrics about how much Thom Yorke wishes he had a vagina, then they're the best band in the world!

Gaga is obviously super popular, so stating that you think she's good is not really an unpopular opinion. I don't listen to her enough (at all) to comment on her lyrics, but as a musician/singer/composer she is fantastically talented. As far as her stage performance, many people compare her to Elton John in his prime.
And I hate her music. For me personally, her ridiculous image and stage antics takes away from her actual talent. If she was a talentless plug, I could understand it, but she could sit up there in a t-shirt, jeans and piano and blow people away. It's probably what bugs me about her most.
