Has Irving basically taken over #1 duties?

No, He doesnt have the numbers like save % gaa like keets but face it he doesnt lose the games like keets. Keets is having a hard time stopping blocker side shots ( hes a right glove) and he gives up huge rebounds.

Keets needs ice time also but for some reason McGill has something in his heart for keets.

i think irving is close to being the #1 in the minds of the organization. keetley started off the season on fire, but has been pretty awful since. irving has consistently been getting better as well. so looking at the trends, i think its only a matter of time before irving becomes the guy. from a development standpoint, i understand taking it slow and not just dumping 80% of the workload on him. though it sure would be nice to see him play more so we don't lose so much!

I would expect that by after the new year, Irving might take over as #1. I was hoping that the competition would have made Keetley step up his game, but it doesn't appear to be happening.

Not sure what the problem is, but as PIM said, some of his rebounds are downright brutal! Makes me sad because I love Keets as a person....he's so personable and funny....but he just doesn't seem to be getting it done. Last weekend was a great example. Each played against the same team. Yes, Lundmark was back for Irving's game, but I watched both games and Keetley lost the puck between his legs/blades at least four times...along with the bad rebounds.
