good night
Maybe the Canucks bus will break down and they will have to ctrain it to their hotel. Built in excuse for their next game loss.

I thought both teams looked like crap but the Flames did a better job getting to the front of the net and that's why they won.

Gartner had his 30 goal streak interrupted by the 94-95 lockout. Other than that I can't think of anyone else but maybe I'm wrong.

The thought that you'd have to be a History Major, focusing on WW2 to get what you're saying is funny to me.

Like the Nazi's were some hidden secret for years and only Robert Langdon shifting through old documents would uncover this mysterious salute.

-Stempniak: had another really good game. He seems so much stronger this year, really makes the game physical for the opposing team when he's out there.
-Cervenka: best game I've seen from him and really the first time I've really thought he looked like a legit NHLer for the entire game
-Baertschi: had a really strong second period at both ends of the rink. I wish he'd get more icetime... it looks like he thrives on it. At least they have him with some good players now.
-Iginla: made a key play at the most important time of the game. We're not going to see him dominate too many games anymore, but as long as he's in the line up it's nice to have someone with that poise.
-Taylor: glad he got the win, but I really hope Kipper is back this week.
-Giordano: took a lot of heat in the game thread but he made some really big plays including saving a sure goal that dribbled past Taylor.
-Tanguay and Wideman: play with far too little intensity on the PP. They aren't pushing anyone back with their drop passes because neither guy is approaching full speed. Hudler and Brodie actually get it in because they are willing to go all out.
-Stajan: another solid game from this guy. Good for him for turning his career back around.
-Bouwmeester: I love when he plays physical. He can be so damn good if he engages fully.

Great to see them win! GO FLAMES GO!

It's more about how history majors giggle incessantly about stuff like this.

Farhan thinks the Canucks dominated the first 40 but in the end lost because of tired legs and playing last night. No wonder everyone hates this team...even their media is so cocky they can't admit defeat

In the game thread someone described this as a "brutal day of travel".

Glencross made two very good defensive plays in the last minute. He gets crapped on a lot, but was strong in crunch time.
