So look for McCain to make an impassioned plea on behalf of the Mayo Clinic, and demand that they be allowed to service only the elites and charge whatever they see fit by endorsing the repeal of Obamacare.

I like McCain. I am hoping McCain has an epiphany of the kind that you speak of...that a country with the wealth of the US should have basic healthcare as a right of all its citizens...

living in Canada, people can take it for granted until something potentially life threatening happens to them or someone close them...in those moments one is incredibly thankful for living in a country where there is universal healthcare and its citizens look at it as the greater good.

is it perfect? not at all...But for those who have had misfortune strike them, it can literally be a lifesaver

The Taliban have received improved weaponry in Afghanistan that appears to have been supplied by the Russian government, according to exclusive videos obtained by CNN, adding weight to accusations by Afghan and American officials that Moscow is arming their one-time foe in the war-torn country.

US generals first suggested they were concerned the Russian government was seeking to arm the Afghan insurgents back in April, but images from the battlefield here corroborating these claims have been hard to come by.

These two videos show sniper rifles, Kalashnikov variants and heavy machine guns that weapons experts say are stripped of any means of identifying their origin.

Two separate sets of Taliban, one in the north and another in the west, claim to be in possession of the weapons, which they say were originally supplied by Russian government sources. One splinter group of Taliban near Herat say they obtained the guns after defeating a mainstream rival group of Taliban. Another group say they got the weapons for free across the border with Tajikistan and that they were provided by "the Russians."

Oh man I missed the part in Trump's meandering interview with the NYT where he thinks the FBI should report directly to the president.

And I laughed, the boy scouts released a statement after Trump's attempt at a campaign rally with a bunch of 12 year olds.

“The Boy Scouts of America is wholly non-partisan and does not promote any position, product, service, political candidate or philosophy. The invitation for the sitting U.S. President to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition and is in no way an endorsement of any political party of specific politics.”
