Pretty sure the morning show is the highest rated in the city. I don't mind either the morning or the afternoon show. They are completely different, but I appreciate the insight provided by both.

I agree 100%. I like the chemistry of the guys on the morning show, each bringing something to the group dynamic. Mindless fun in the morning when I am drinking coffee and commuting into work.
If you where to make a change I would bump Pinder up to the Big Show. Pat and Pinder would be a good combo for more serious sport conversations on my commute home. Kerr's just not my cup of tea.

I like this idea. Whoever is in the booth on the morning show could ultimately be the 3rd person on that show, chiming in occasionally, and I agree that Pinder would be a good fit in the afternoon.

They do well with their target demographic of young males, but I'm pretty sure it is the lowest rated morning show in Calgary overall.
Let's see:

Pat & Pinder??? Please no! We would be stuck getting advanced stats (which may or may not mean anything) shoved down our throats!
As someone who still thinks advanced stats should be a small piece of the puzzle and mostly used to just help moderate the eye test, I would never be able to listen to that show.

I really like Kerr, I think he is insightful and is really good at interviewing guests. I hated Richard's interviewing - he seemed to want to tell his own stories more than let the guests speak. Mike had some good bits but they really started to grate after a while.

I am not getting where all the hate for Kerr is coming from. I think he is the best interviewer on this station. He also gives a different perspective compared to the morning show and to Pat. It would be a big lost to the afternoon show if we lost Kerr. I don't want to live through the Leslie or Bryant (spelling?) dark days...

kerr is super knowledgable, but he is not an entertainer like Richards.
there are likely only a few guys in the field of sports broadcasting who are funny and knowledgable

I've never understood why people like the equivalent of fart jokes in the morning.
I try to listen to the morning show every once and awhile to get some Flames news and half the time I immediately switch to another channel because all I hear is some ear piercing giggling or screaming. Not my ideal way of starting a morning..

Kerr is okay but his constant devil's advocate for for idiotic viewpoints and changing his "viewpoint" when a guest points out the flawed thinking is just so formulaic and boring I have to turn it off sometimes

There's something about Kerr that irks me. I don't know if it's his over-the-top fake niceness or what. I always feel there's this air of arrogance that he's trying to mask. Could be wrong, as I don't know the guy personally, but that's how he seems to me anyways.

I don't know which I like the least, Kerr's playing-the-contrarian and then folding at the first sign at resistance or framing it as "I'm just putting it out there! I'm just saying! People are talking Pat, people!"
or Pat's playing-the-contrarian and immediately getting upset, especially when it has to do with the NHL rulebook which he knows nothing about.
It's kind of funny that the only guy with an even average ability to be entertaining, informative and opinionated without being overbearing is Rhett Warrener.

I do like the current morning show when they stay on topic and talk sports (or more specifically hockey). As soon as it becomes about them eating whacky things or trying to be something resembling a hilarious morning zoo, I turn it off.
