Also thank you Jesus, Ryan Lizza recorded the conversation.
Probably standard practice now with all the fake news claims by the white house. Its wonderful, the Mooch can't deny this stuff and its gloriously bad lol
In a letter addressed to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the Republicans said they were writing to "request assistance in restoring public confidence in our nation's justice system and its investigators, specifically the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)."
...
"The unbalanced, uncertain, and seemingly unlimited focus of the special counsel's investigation has led many of our constituents to see a dual standard of justice that benefits only the powerful and politically well-connected," the letter said. "For this reason, we call on you to appoint a second special counsel to investigate a plethora of matters connected to the 2016 election and its aftermath, including actions taken by previously public figures like Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."
With the absolute crapshow that this country is right now, between Trump and Twitter and Mooch and maybe wanting to fire Sessions, and then the House/Senate healthcare debacle--I could really go for a good old fashioned whine about Benghazi.
Life was much simpler back then.
I think that the country has become ungovernable.
And as bad as things are now, just wait until North Korea fires off a missile that comes close to hitting Alaska or Hawaii, or some terrorist takes down a few planes, or Russia invades Poland, or whatever. The chaos will take down the country if the Republicans don't get their stuff together and put country over party.
I really would not want to be in the Secret Service these days.

A White House full of druggies, liars, cheats, fraudsters, alcoholics, figures with organized crime ties, and various other undesirables. Basically what GOPers wanted to think the Obama administration was going to be, and probably what the delusional think it was, is what the Trump administration is currently. The irony is rich and delicious.

I can't stop laughing. The COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR of the POTUS did the following:
Interpreted a tweet of the President's confirmed dinner companions as a serious leak.
Appealed to a journalists patriotism in an effort to get said journalist to reveal a source.
Told said journalist the Chief of Staff is a paranoid schizophrenic.
Admitted he planned to torture the Chief of Staff via Twitter.
Threatened to fire his entire staff if journalist didn't reveal his source.
Told the journalist that Steve Bannon is obsessed with self fellatio.
Declared The Mooch is gonna clean this up.
You can't make this stuff up!

Sean Spicer showed plenty of fancy footwork answering questions as White House press secretary.
Now that he's departing the gig, reports are swirling that Spicer is being courted to move to his logical next step: celebrity contestant on Dancing With the Stars.
Politico reported Wednesday that executives from the ABC show have expressed interest in having Spicer cha-cha-cha into the next season.
DWTS spokeswoman Ashley Kline declined to discuss the tantalizing possibility. "We’ll announce our Season 25 cast closer to our premiere date, Sept. 18," she told USA TODAY
They demanded that Ryan vow that the House would not quickly pass the bill and send it to President Donald Trump. The senators' stand threatened, once again, to thwart the GOP's tortured effort to scuttle the Democratic health care law.

how long did it take for them to hammer out the skinny bill? a day?
the absolute best line of the previous vox article:

Republicans are making life-or-death policy for millions of Americans with less care, consideration, and planning than most households put into purchasing a dishwasher.

8 pages, almost everyone hates it, even the people voting for it. Senator Enzi is refusing to take any questions from Democrats. The GOP is going to force this through, and with no real repercussions, Ryan and the rest of the GOP Reps are going to pass it, and Trump is going to sign it. I'll be shocked if this doesn't get through before next week.
CBO score says that under this plan, premiums will go up 20% every single year from 2018-2026. So the 2600 I pay a year now would jump to over 3100 next year, by 2020 I'd be paying 4488 a year. If nothing changed, by 2026? 13300+ annually. This is unsustainable.
Hopefully if this does go through, people actually realize that GOP policies are hurting them and vote these dumpster fires out of office.
His tweet to top it all of: I made a mistake in trusting in a reporter. It won't happen again.
To which this fella astutely notes.

So if he thought he wasn't on record, then he was on background/off record. Talking about internal WH feuds. Which would be ... leaking?
