I think AMA stopped doing the single day discounted lift tickets.

Costco does a great deal on Sunshine tickets.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Here is what I found: I could go to Costco but they can go pound sand for simply ruining N. Americans into believing its a better deal to buy and store giant portions of things you don't need. I need one small bottle of ketchup - I don't need two colossal bottles of ketchup that will last me 18 months. I need one ticket - not three.

AMA still sells them at a discount price with membership. 80 bucks

Yeah maybe, but with the packet you get 3 coupons for 15% for rentals, I think $8 of youth ticket, $5 of kid ticket, and some other coupons as well.

Dollarswise it is a good deal.

I don't know too many people that ski alone.

Edit: surferguy skis alone..how sad

We'll, to be fair it is more economical to buy large portions if you're smart about what you need and buy.

If you're planning any more days this season, this could be an option for you.

I'm coming out to Calgary for a couple of weeks at the beginning of April with my son and plan on getting a Spring Pass.

This guy. I get weekdays off and few of my friends do, so I ski by myself often. It's fantastic. No line-ups during the week, pick my own terrain, ski at my own pace. Throw some tunes on and just rip all day. Not that I don't enjoy skiing with a group or anything, but solo skiing is pretty sweet too.

I ski alone probably 80% of the time. Always have.

Experts have to ski alone, they just can't find a partner to keep up. I would gather that surferguy chews it up.

Heading to Kimberley for the first time this weekend!

I am getting conflicting reports from people. Is it worth driving via Banff - Radium - Cranbrook or Fernie - Cranbrook?

Depends where you are leaving from, to be honest.

I use to live in deep south so it always made sense to go through Fernie, etc.

That being said even now, I like the drive via Fernie more.

I vote Crowsnest route.

Fair enough and we will likely come back that way as I know its a nice drive.

Having said that, tomorrow we want to get there ASAP, so looking for most timely route. Leaving from downtown.

To be honest, there ain't much between the two routes.

I looked on Google Maps and it is a 3 min difference.

From DT I'd take the #1 personally. On a good day they're about the same, but on a bad day the #3 can be painfully slow if you get stuck behind traffic. Going via the 1 you're on double lane until the 93, and the 93 has a lot of areas to pass.

I'm lucky to be staying in Revy skiing for a few days. Hope everyone is able to find some fresh snow this weekend!
