When has the OL play ever been an issue under Huf? Other than that year when we seemed to be losing a starter every week, it's always one of the better lines in the league. The Stamps are brilliant at keeping the pipe full of guys who are ready to step in and contribute.

I can't remember a Stamps QB who was really beaten up over the course of a full season, even going back to when Burris first got here.

It hasn't, but one of these times the plug and play may eventually catch up to us (though no evidence to date).

I'm glad they didn't sign Dennis though if he's making 200k+ as an import Oline as is being reported.

I understand these guys have to make a much as they can in a small window (especially in the CFL) but a contract like that is destined to be the first on the chopping block the first time things don't go as planned or the team needs cap relief to sign an NFL cut. As an import in the CFL, the more you make, the bigger the target you are for a GM to cut. Seems a lot of these guys leave for bigger contracts and quickly find themselves on the outside looking in.

Probably better to make 150K a year over 4 years in place you know it's going to work, than to potentially make 200K/year and end up on the scrap heap shortly after.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent national linebacker Beau Landry.

Landry spent the first three seasons of his career with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, working primarily on special teams. In 36 career regular-season games, Landry has recorded 28 special-teams tackles while adding one defensive tackle and two forced fumbles. He was also in uniform for three playoff games and the 2014 Grey Cup.

Stamps sign Mitchell Gale. Is Tate on the move or packing it in, or is he just camp fodder?

I think even if Tate is coming back that the Stamps are probably going to try to find a less expensive option for him.

Apparently he has a bonus due in March.

Doesn't Tate to Saskatchewan make all the sense in the world?

Or even Toronto....mind you they dont have a GM or Coach to even pull the trigger on a deal, so who knows.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent national receiver Rory Kohlert.

Kohlert is a five-year CFL veteran who played 85 career regular-season games, including 71 starts, for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 2012-16. The 29-year-old Regina native has 160 career catches for 1,630 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2016, Kohlert had 29 catches for 283 yards and one major and was two-for-two in passing including his first career touchdown pass in an Oct. 8 win over the BC Lions.

“Rory is an all-around receiver with good pass-catching ability and he’s a reliable blocker in the run game,” said Stampeders head coach Dave Dickenson.

Yeah, probably not the same kind of speed though, but Calgary needs some reliable national receivers.

Durant has the potential but for some reason we just don't trust our National receivers besides Parker.

I really hope Durant is given a chance before he explodes for some other team like Sinopli.

It's certainly tough to keep everybody and I liked Sinopoli but the lure to play for his hometown team was just too strong. As far as Durant is concerned, I hope he's a Stamp for a long time, that kid is a player.

Yeah, I think Sinopoli would have been welcomed back, but nobody was surprised when he signed in Ottawa.

I bet Durant will be given every opportunity to succeed next year. Brescacin has some potential as well. You pretty much know what you're going to get in Parker. I actually liked Charbonneau-Campeau but he's going back to school to finish his degree.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed free-agent national running back and Calgarian Anthony Woodson.

An alumnus of the St. Francis High School Browns and the University of Calgary Dinos, Woodson has played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the course of his five-year CFL career.

I think this might be a really good signing, he's had trouble establishing himself, but there's no question that he has a really good skill set.

I agree Captain and being a national running back opens up some flexibility as far as the ratio is concerned (especially on offense).

I like how Huff just scoops up National skilled guys, at worst they can play on the teams. Landry, Koehlert and now Woodson.

Still wonder what's going on with Cote and Federkiel.

As it sits right now Woodson is replacing Cote. Koehlert is replacing SCC. Landry replaces Berger.

The Calgary Stampeders have signed national offensive lineman Dan Federkeil.

The 33-year-old Medicine Hat native has spent the past four seasons with the Stamps, making a total of 42 starts at right tackle. He has also played in three playoff games and two Grey Cups with the Red and White and was a member of the Stamps’ 2014 championship team.

I don't know if Woodson is replacing Cote. Cote was a good blocking back, who could move to a tight end spot and sneak into the seams.

He's a more traditional running back. Woodson is a high speed shift back who in his university days was really effective coming out of the backfield.

I guess you could run a pony set with Messam and Woodson in the backfield.
