Ya that was very harsh. I get that it's deemed overly aggressive with the jump and the two feet, but I don't think the end result is even a foul. He gets the ball and his studs are down. A foul, even a yellow is OK due to the aggressive nature, but it's never a red.

But they still managed a draw in the end.

that ref received a lot of criticism for not sending off Rojo for a two-footed challenge just a few days ago, and rightfully so. The red on Vardy today was purely because of that, I have no doubt.

but it shouldn't be, Rooney isn't a winger FFS. How you don't play Martial is beyond me.

Martial is the new Mkhitaryan, on the outs for whatever reason. Also, hard to believe but West Brom has actually scored more goals this year than United.

Carrick-Herrera-Pogba is a simply superb midfield combination. Finding a "new Carrick" in one of the next transfer windows has to be priority.

Pretty close there on Ibra. Considering what got Vardy red that could have been red.

Rondon should've had 3 red cards there.

Rojo can get his vengeance the other way. Officiating seems poorer than usual this season.

That crossfield pass by De Bruyne was ridiculous.

That was a fantastic pass.

Well the commentators mentioned that they got a ruling from the Officials association that the second goal was good, I thought Silva was too close but they said that he was far enough away and out of Cech's line of sight.

I dont know, that second one seems like a helluva judgement call.

Either way though Arsenal really 'Arsenal'd' that one up.

They got the early goal, put in a really impressive first half and then just tried to hang on for the entire second half.

With predictable results.

German commentators pretty much had the same conclusion, but I don't know. He wasn't too close to Cech, but it's still offside in my book.

Either way, Arsenal deserved to lose for sure. I thought they were excellent in the first half, but the second one was a total ####show. Özil has to be the most frustrating top player in the world, he immediately becomes invisible in big games when the going gets tough.

And that caps off a great week for them. Draw Bayern, lose to Everton while everyone around them gets 3 points. Then to end the week they lose while everyone around them wins again.

Spurs looked pretty good today. I thought that they would win 3-4 to 1, but they never managed to put the 3rd one in despite a number of chances. Burnley looked well organized though and it wasn't a blow out by any means.

At this point Chelsea just has the big lead and the "chase group" is pretty tightly congregated. Tomorrow Liverpool could draw a little closer if they get through Everton. There are still 21 games to go, so its far from sewn up though.

However, Hackett, the former head of Professional Games Match Officials Ltd (PGMOL), told the Daily Telegraph on behalf of You Are The Ref: "The assistant referee Adam Nunn was correct in both decisions and, in each case, they were outstanding pieces of lining."
