Unpopular opinion here, but I'd rather he didn't go to all star game. Remember when people started asking Hartley about the Gio/Brodie pairing being one of the best and he said soemthing like let's keep that our little secret.

Let's keep Johnson our little secret.

Let's jihad Iggy or something so some other team ends up with bonus penalties and cap trouble

This is about sending Johnson to an all star game because he deserves to be there. How is fair to Johnson to not vote for him to keep him "our little secret?"
I am sure he would be thrilled to get the chance to go and have fun

So you can only vote for captains as of right now?

K. I voted Bergeron, Crosby, Benn and Thornton. But I'll change the pacific vote to Johnson on my next 9.

Oh my god. I was just looking at what tickets were selling for on ticketmaster for the All Star game. The cheapest tickets are up in the nosebleeds and are 827.50 US!! That is just bloody ridiculous!!

If so, Johnson should be there for the Flames, as there isn't really any other good choices.
Haha, Weitz and Oil Stain are definitely two Oilers fans who attempt to contribute positively to the site and are mostly good guys to talk hockey with, but you gotta llove their catty little passive aggressive remarks littered throughout their decent posting.

Anyone know where we can see voting results for the all-star ballots?

I don't know but The Score posted the leaders of each division. Johnny is there but no Chad, got to get more on board and make sure you vote guys.

Come on people, Jihad time.

https://www.nhl.com/all-star-ballot

Get your 10 ballots in. I think Johnny is a given to be there so let's focus our votes on Chad.

I was just telling the truth. Maybe that's hard to some people to read. It's no secret that the Flames top players haven't been having strong starts to the season.

It's not easy to make the all-star team. Only 6 forwards and 3 defence can go.

Burns, and OEL are shoe ins for the defence. Hamilton has been pretty good for the Flames but you can't really put him there over Doughty IMO. Plus Fowler has been very good this year as well.

For forwards you have McDavid, Carter, Pavelski, Kesler, and Getzlaf as guys that should be there based on the seasons they are having. Vancouver needs a representative, it'll be one of the Sedins.

Gaudreau is a great 3 on 3 player, but he was injured, and hasn't been putting up all star numbers this year.

If he continues at his post-injury pace though he'll probably make the team. He'd be more entertaining then all of the others sans McDavid. I'm not sure if the NHL takes that into consideration.

Judging by the other goalies in the division, Johnson and Jones will be on the team based on merit so the jihad probably isn't even needed.

First of all, thank you for telling the truth, Dr Phil.

jayswin's point was that that second comment wasn't needed and was just another in a long list of little pithy shots you like to take. The thread is about voting Chad Johnson into the All-Star line up, not who else should or shouldn't be there. You didn't even reply to anyone with that, just threw it out there. "Okay vote for Johnson.. BUT NO ONE ELSE SHOULD BE THERE!!"

It's so typical of you, and like jawyswin said, Weitz as well. Like when he popped into an OOT thread to let everyone know Nathan MacKimmon had passed Sean Monahan in 2013 draft points. He had never posted about that before, and hasn't since. He never gave an update when Monahan took back the #1 spot days later.

Honestly, if the Chad isn't in the top 5 now, we aren't putting him there. Switch your votes to Johnny so McDiver doesn't get it (since he's in first).

Johnny is already in the top 5 vote wise and McDavid is getting in regardless. Both those guys are going. Vote for the guy that deserves the recognition the rest of the masses probably won't give him.
