however, given the engagement level of the dome for the last little while, i doubt we'll even hear a "go flames go" chant all night. I can't believe the dome was so quiet you could hear the individual oiler goal scorers scream after those goals in the 3rd.

hopefully baertchi, berra, bouma, monahan, stajan continue their strong play. not sure i care about the final score at this stage.
It's Tom. Get it right!

Teams that are 7-11-3 aren't famous for their "monster efforts". My guess is we'll see a strong push in the first 10 minutes but if they don't get one early -- or better yet, if we do -- they'll probably fold like a cheap tent.

I'm going to guess Flames win 4-1. Goals from Russell, Stajan, Cammalleri and Hudler.

Other predictions:

- There will be a fight in the 2nd period.
- Rob Kerr will say stupid things.
- Baertschi will have another solid game and extend his point streak.
- I'll fall asleep before the end of the 3rd.

Win or lose, I'm just satisfied that Bobrovsky has come down to earth a little bit. I never believed the guy to be a real all-star caliber tender (still a decent starter) but it's nice to see a little balance come to the force.

I don't care if we lose the game but I wanna see Sven-Monahan-Hudler light it up. On the back end I wanna see big games from Smid and Russel.

Erixon is playing? Big freakin' deal. He is a fringe NHLer and he snubbed the Flames. So what? He is a fringe NHLer. It isn't like he was going to make the team better by playing on it. It was fun to pile on for a few weeks after he wouldn't sign and was subsequently traded, but it's been a few years now. Time to let it go. The past is the past and bringing it up again and again isn't very productive.

8 PM on a Wednesday against the BJs when it's -20 outside. The perfect storm.

I hate 8:00 starts on weekdays. I gotta work in the morning, I usually fall asleep before the end of the game.

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg4m

No changes for the #Flames tonight. Berra gets his fifth straight start in net.

as already stated, this could be a rough night based on last nights result

I hope the Flames come out strong and hold off the inevitable push from CBJ

I think they should send Ramo to Abbotsford to get more playing time. It's doing him no good to sit and watch. If they're going to start Berra every night, wouldn't it be better to bring up MacDonald to sit on the bench?

I don't want Ramo to take starts from Ortio

Blair Jones with 8 goals, 12 assists in 15 games with the Heat. Several big goals and the clear leader down there. The Flames have to give him another shot or move him. Otherwise the whole "meritocracy" thing becomes even more of a joke.

The same goes for Ortio: 8-0 with a better GAA and save percentage than Berra had with the Heat (let alone the Flames). Berra has been mariginally better than Ramo or MacDonald but hardly invincible. If Ramo's not going to play, how about giving Ortio a shot? No waiver issues there.
