There should be a one night only clemency period. The board gets wiped of all posts and topics started, the next day.

Also, who still has a CalgaryPuck hat?

I own a Calgarypuck hat. Bought it at Value Village. Can't find it at the moment, but I definitely bought one.

He's waiting to hopefully come back properly. Hopefully in his case the mods at least appreciate that behaviour and lend it some credence, as most oft-banned posters and trolls just sign up under a different user name to the point where it's standard operating procedure.

Met some great people here.
Cheese (doodle)
Grantus Maximus (JiriHrdina)
Kamping Kris (Kevanguy)
Reggie Dunlop
Lanny MacDonald (I miss him)
Habby (Habernac)
Josef (my fellow German)

Dont recall ever meeting Cowperson but I miss his posts.

the list goes on and on. (apologies to those I missed)

I played in the inaugural Heckle and the following one as well. (fondly remember the Eckville Heckle and skating out on to the ice hearing the ice crackle. Frack it was cold in that ole barn)

Never one to start new threads very often...it actually took me to page 8 before I found one I started on that link from earlier.

Calgarypuck has been a constant with me for the last 20 years. Its helped me with information since i moved from Calgary and its certainly helped me with my businesses over the years. So thank you for that.

I hope you can all see the picture. Not sure if Photobucket still allows one to post pics here.
That is CP right in the middle. He just sorta dissapeared on his own long ago. Still wonder what happened with him.

You mean "manly yes, but I like it too" bar of soap? That poster seems to have disappeared too. How unusual...

I enjoyed the poster who went all nuts when Flames cut Fleury out of training camp. They lasted about 3 days.

And I wasn't following but did you honestly refer to Monahan as a "dime a dozen" center? Monahan is no McDavid, few are, but try not to be so transparent. If you honestly think that you're either trolling or not too bright.
Squiggs you think these are the same people? Your detective skills are getting rusty, anyone with half a brain can tell they aren't one person.

CP is out walking his dogs in the Alberta mountains and having a great time!
As with others I think he just "timed out" with a lot of posters and opted for stage door left.

Was CP the poster the same person as Cowperson?

I didn't think they were.

CP the poster took me to a Flames game one night. Had a good time. He was involved in scouting amateur players. Good guy.

Thumbs up

I always enjoy these nostalgia threads. I’ve been visiting Calgarypuck for a long long time. It is the only website I check several times a day and my #1 source for hockey news. Hobbies and interests come and go but being a Flames fan is a constant. Living and working in enemy territory (Edmonton area), Calgarypuck keeps me connected to the team, fanbase, and city that I love.

I am continuously impressed with the Calgarypuck community - including the knowledgeable off-topic and entertainment discussions, the way we rally around fellow members and the southern Alberta community (eg. flood response), and the ticket exchange which provides a trustworthy way for me to get to a couple games a year.

Thanks and appreciation to Bingo and the rest of the team that make this site work. Fantastic job. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it.

that´s correct, cowperson (this is the link for his dogs-homepage: http://www.goldentales.ca ) and CP are two different persons, but both are gone from the board for a long time

Wow. What a flashback. I remember lurking. It didn't sign up until 2003 when I finally became a season ticket holder.

The guy between Jeff and Johnny Flame is on the tip of my tongue... I know he still posts here..

The other two unnamed players I'm afraid I can't recall.

That would be me. You have an amazing memory Reggie.

Based on the names of the pictures here, I think the one to the right is "puckdaddy"
https://web.archive.org/web/20140105...lbums/heckle2/

Also, Based on the list of names from "Faking the cut" at this link, I think the other one was "pekka"
