Default Predict the NFL Standings

So week 4 of the pre season is nearly done and this is the week where most teams play starters the longest. Plus the injuries have surfaced to provide any extra info.

AFC East

I still say this is the Pats Division and they will be pretty much unchallenged even with their receiving core in flux. The Bills are having QB issues as Manuel looks to be the starter, but can he start 16 games? The Dolphins should be better, but they look to have no running game. The Jets....they won 24-21 last night despite an awful game from Geno Smith and Sanchez coming in to get injured in the 4th quarter. They keep finding ways to get that NYC media in a frenzy.

Patriots 10-6. They still have Brady, and in the AFC that gives you a shot
Dolphins 8-8. If Tannehill takes a step forward they could be better.
Bills 6-10. Explosive back in Spiller can they keep a QB healthy?
Jets 3-13. The media will love the circus around these guys.

AFC South

Andrew Luck won't catch anyone by surprise this year. Questions about Arian Foster linger in Houston. Tennessee disappointed last year, and with any type of defensive improvement could be a surprise team this year. Jacksonville...they still exist, actually they have some good pieces on offence but need a QB to make use of them.

Houston 11-5 Still a solid group, but Schaub can't get them to the SB
Indy 9-7. Luck is the real delal, but the rest of the team is still in the works
Tennessee 9-7. Could be a sleeper with an improved offence
Jacksonville 5-11. Irellevent team badly needs a QB

AFC North

The Superbowl champ Ravens have lost some key vets and feature a lot of change over. The Bengals seem a trendy pick, but I think Daulton is too average for them to win this Division. The Steelers struggled last year, and are in a state of flux, still they expect to win. The Browns start again under a new coach, their defence is up to snuff....is Brandon Wheedon?

Ravens 10-6. The offence is what carries these guys.
Steelers 10-6. If Big Ben stays healthy they will contend.
Bengals 7-9. Great front 7 on D, but average QB play will hold them back.
Browns 6-10. Improving, but the offence needs some improvements.

AFC West
Even with questions on D, Denver is still a runaway winner. The Chiefs and Chargers both have new coaching staffs who can't be worse than last years. The Raiders.....have more dead cap space than either their offence or defence are worth.
Broncos 11-5. The defence will struggle at times, nothing new for Peyton.
Chargers 7-9. Decent D, but the Offence needs a talent infusion.
Chiefs 7-9. Might be better, depends on Smith and if the D can stop anyone.
Raiders 3-13. Paying dearly this year for the bad choices of recent years.

I've seen a few people pick the Bengals to make the SB. What makes you think they will be a 7-9 team?

NFC East
No Dennis Allen this is not the SEC of the NFL...more like the Big 10, teams are close and competitive, but no one is elite. Washington 100% depends on RG3 and his knee. The Cowboys have talented pieces, but always shoot themselves in the foot. The Giants can beat anyone....than find a way to lose to the Jets. The Eagles are a wild card with Chip Kelly, will the fast pace offence help Vick avoid hits and turnovers...or inrease it?

Dallas 9-7 the D is better and it's just enough
Philly 8-8. Will be effective on offence, but the D will have trouble at times
New York 8-8. I expect crazy inconsistency with these guys.
Washington 7-9. I'm predicting a lot of RG3 unable to play here.

NFC South
Another competitive Division with a lot of offensive fire power. Can Rob Ryan fix the Saints defence. Did the Falcons do enough to get over the hump. Will the Panthers step up? Where is Josh Freeman?

Saints 12-4, Payton is back and the offence will really click. A bad D is enough
Falcons 10-6, defence is unable to do enough and the offence can't overcome it.
Panthers 9-7, Things are starting to come together here, D is improving
Bucaneers 6-10, Freeman has a bad year and VJax isn't as good.

NFC North
Division is tough to call. The Packers still seem the class, but have issues. Vikings need a passing game, have the Bears adressed their O-Line? Will Reggie Bush give the Lions a running game?

Packers 10-6 Rogers is Rogers and the D should be solid. Can they run the ball?
Lions 9-7. Better on D and more balance on O will improve them a lot.
Vikings 8-8. AP is a god...Ponder is not. They come back to Earth this season.
Bears 6-10. Last years 2nd half woes continue for the Bears.

NFC West
Could be a tough Division as San Fran and Seattle are both legit contenders, and St.Louis will have a tough D. Arizona looks to be better on offence but some bad injuries last night.

San Francisco 11-5 Solid team from top to bottom, WR is the only real question
Seattle 11-5 Another solid all around team.A healthy Harvin is the missing piece
St.Louis 8-8. The D is nasty, can the offence be good enough they have legatron
Arizona 5-11. Someone takes the lumps in a tough division.
