They have a good offense so put in our better defensive center. Makes OK sense to me.

4 goal game for Bennett tonight, including one on a wrap around in GilmoureAn fashion.

At this point I'd be happy if he finished the season with 4 goals. Guy has no finish. Let our top 6 lead us to victory because you know our bottom 6 will not. 4-3 flames win.

Stajan in favour of Lazar if only for tonight and Dec 6th.

Yup Lazar was a big swing and a miss. I wish we kept our second rounder cause I have not been impressed with what I 've seen from the guy.

When we play the Toronto Red Wings or the Mississauga Senators I fully expect Stajan to play.

The people who I know who are Leafs fans are pretty decent - they are used to things falling apart and they almost expect it. It's the Toronto media I hate.

He is already better than the average 2nd rounder

I think Treliving is just doing his best to find us at least one RH shot that can play in our top 9. It's why he gambled on Lazar, signed Foo (and why Foo signed here), it's why he looked into acquiring Turris even though we have our own LHed Backlund to worry about re-signing and it's why Versteeg is still such a key cog to our PP.
I like the players we have in the top 9 but we really need at least one RH shot. Especially when our top 5 forwards for years to come (assuming Backs re-signs) are all LHed in Gaudreau, Monahan, Ferland, Tkachuk and Backs. Even Jankowski, Bennett, Mangiapane and Dube who should grow into larger roles on the team are all LHed.
It's pretty bad how few RH shots we have in the organization throughout the forward ranks.

And it was a number 47 pick, not a top second rounder.

Until you posted this, I 100% forgot about Foo entirely since the preseason. Guess I need to spend more time in the Backburner...

You won't see much about him there either, he's really struggled at adjusting to the pro game. Was even a healthy scratch at least once or twice.

This whole RH shot thing is ridiculous. Just get the best players regardless of what way they shoot. Move Brodie back to the right side cause that's where he is comfortable. Our two best "RIGHT WINGERS" both shoot left.

Having both shots on the ice opens up more lanes and opportunities. It's not ridiculous.
The team has been icing the best players regardless of handedness which is why our top 9 is all LHed and our 4th line is usually all RHed. They aren't gonna force anything but I think they would like to add a RH guy that can play higher than the 4th line to open up some of these shooting lanes and opportunities that having only LH shots limits.
The L-R matching on defence is a whole nother ball of wax, I agree Brodie has looked comfortable on the right side but I don't buy into the fact it's the reason he is struggling this year.

And to hell with all whoever you have to move to their "uncomfortable" side.

He does look like a swing and a miss which 2nd rounders often are. But sometimes 2nd rounders turn into good players or return more in trade than in this case.
Still haven’t given up he can start to contribute.
