Incredibly close game. The blues are a tough team.
Their game really relies on heavy grinding hockey though, and that's not going to win against a fast flames team 3 on 3.
Glad it didn't go to the shootout though. St.lo has a lot of skill.

There is some justice in the Flames getting back two goals on deflections off skates after the goal kicked in against them was allowed.

While I think that the blues second goal was a 50-50 call the hockey Gods definitely thought it should have been called back. Proof in our next two goals off of blues skates lol.
I am pretty happy that we can finally battle 60 minutes in a heavy bruising game against the blues and come out with the win. That is a huge boost to the confidence of this team.

These are the kind of games I am actually happy the Flames are getting down the stretch. Tough, playoff-type hockey. Rather the team get tuned up and ready then padding back-to-backs against the Avs "cough" Oilers "cough"
