Managed to get 3 in 224 row 1, but damn that was too stressful...
There's gotta be a better way.
Oh right, there is!
Just pay more at StubHub. Every god damn section is available there now.

I bought a single ticket, but I may have to venture over to StubHub if the friends want to come... can't wait for the inflated prices (and in $USD too!)

For what it's worth, the iPhone Ticketmaster app seems to work a lot better than the web interface.

Right now there are 220 paired tickets available. Not greatest locations. Section 214, 215, 210, 209.

Able to find tickets on web as well. Mostly 200 at the direct side of stage, or 100 almost behind the stage (101).

Lol.

It's pretty ridiculous. Tool is a good band, but not a top tier draw. If you can't even buy tickets for a band like that, there's something wrong.

Got 3 in a row in section 212. Have not been this excited for a show in a very very long time!

I got shut out, luckily a friend grabbed 4 and I'm tagging along.

4 ads up on Kijiji already and the online scalpers have listings up. I despise these people, I f**cking hate them.

Already like 2,000 tickets on StubHub lol. As I already said, patience will likely yield below face value tickets when they cannot move them.

It is actually mind blowing how many tickets are on stubhub.

For each of the first 15 or so rows on the floor, there are about 20 tickets per row on sale. That's about half of the seats (44 seats per row).

It's insane. I really wish there was a way bands could stand up to this sort of thing.

I still think the most recent Arcade Fire concert at the Saddledome was one of the best ways to combat scalpers, and let true fans attend the event in prime seats at a fair price. The way it worked was if you ordered the album Reflektor from their website, you are emailed a unique code that allows a one time purchase of two prime tickets to a single concert on their tour. And the big catch was that admission on the event day was only granted to the credit card holder and their guest. So absolutely no scalping of these prime tickets was possible.

It meant true fans wouldn't have to bother with the Ticketmaster/Promoter/Stubhub hubbub, and get prime seats, the only extra cost being $15 for the album (which fans might have been planning on purchasing anyway).

Of course if Tool wanted to do something similar, they would need to release a new album...

I got tickets - Section 213, Row 2.

I had floor seats the last time they came to town, but I do think it's better to be up a bit higher in order to see the stage in its entirety.

Got 2 lower bowl seats luckily. I honestly would have been pretty choked to not get tickets. I am willing to spend $125 per ticket, but if I had to buy them off a scalper website like stubhub for no other reason than I was unlucky through ticketmaster then I probably wouldn't have gone.

Simple fix to the ticket situation. Make people line up at s ticket window like the old days. First come first serve. If people are willing to camp out then they deserve front row!

That doesn't really work that well either.

Have you seen those loser scalpers in Calgary? You think they had "jobs" to be at last Friday at 10am? Most of them look like they actually live under that pedestrian bride by the dome.

Haha. Oh Simpsons, is there anything you can't do?

Poor quality but highly relevant.

I have a pair of tickets that I can't use and am selling for face value. Details can be found in a thread I started in the Ticket Exchange forum.

Only a few more days...

We get the Crystal Method as the opening act. Sounds like Tool has been coming on stage around 9pm each night, plus or minus 15 mins or so.

Reddit has led me to believe poster tubes can be had for an extra $5. As someone who religiously collects concert posters for shows I attend this is great. I'd never seen a band offer this prior to Tragically Hip on their most recent tour. It is a great idea.

Set lists are mostly static so you can get a good idea of what they'll play, if you're interested in knowing. They are pretty anal about filming but I couldn't resist taking a quick peak of a video from the Montreal show. Looks awesome.
