I was also the goaltender that let in the 20 goals. My first and last attempt at playing the position

Congrats on 20!
As others have mentioned this is usually the first site I check in the morning when I get to work. I love it on trade deadline day, preseason and the draft for a pure Flames slant as well.
How much money do you think CP has cost our employers over it's lifespan?

Goalie looks so easy when others do it well LOL.
I played goal as well, but had switched over to RW by that time. I remember games against your team pretty clearly.

Our biggest problem was the lack of players showing up for the game. We'd have enough for maybe one line change with a few extra players and that was on a good night. Most nights we'd be competitive for the first 5 minutes but after that we'd run out of gas and the shelacking would begin. I can't remember if we ever won a game that season LOL.

I've never really made a concerted effort to look, but are there any other CP like sites out there?
I've never come across a team forum page as active as CP.

Congratulations and a heartfelt Thank you to D'Arcy and everyone who has been involved over the years. This has been my home away from home and my main connection back to Calgary since moving to Ontario.

Many are probably wondering what a "snot boy" story is exactly.
Enjoy.

Apologies to Reggie...i thought it was KC who had penned that marvel for some reason.

I remember in 2000 I was trying to find a Flames hockey forum. Unfortunately I didn't find Calgarypuck. Instead I used to go on the Calgary Flames Forums on Sportsnet.ca. After a couple years I found those forums very frustrating. Every good thread would become derailed by trolls. Around March of 2004 I think someone posted on the Sportsnet forum to try out Calgarypuck.com. I checked it out signed up and have popped in here ever since. I thank you Bingo and everyone that helps keep this site up and moving forward. Happy 20th!!!

Yep it was KC. I think he may have gone by the handle "dump" at the time that was first posted by him though.

Wasn't it SlamSports forums which was the canoe website for the Sun newspaper chain.
I was on that too, got fed up and then started Fire On Ice

My memory isn't that great anymore but I believe I found the Flames website board first of all and signed up there. Someone posted that CalgaryPuck was better so I read it for 6 months or so when I found I was no longer going back to the first website I signed up here at the end of 03.

I forgot to add that after a number of losses we started putting beer in the water bottles. It helped to numb the losses

Yes, I remember bringing my VHS copy of the 1989 Game 6 to Peanuts. I think Aeneas was there too.

Yep that was the worst. Remember how you would think there was ten guys all over you for something and it turned out to be one guy with ten accounts.
