Forward Signed to Professional Try-Out Agreement

Moline, IL – The Quad City Flames announced today that center Justin Bowers has been signed to a Professional Try-Out Agreement. Bowers is in his first season in professional hockey and has spent the year skating with the ECHL’s Dayton Bombers and the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters. Bowers also attended the Quad City Flames 2008 Training Camp.
Bowers has appeared in 44 ECHL games this season with the Bombers. He is tied for ninth in scoring amongst ECHL rookies with 45 points on 15 goals and 30 assists. In nine games with the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters, Bowers recorded two points on a goal and an assist.
Bowers spent two years at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. During his collegiate career, he recorded 68 points (29 goals and 39 assists) in 56 games.
The Quad City Flames visit Milwaukee on Friday for a 7:00 p.m. start. The game can be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC beginning at 6:35 p.m. with The Hayman’s Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can also watch the game for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.
The Quad City Flames host Houston on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The National Guard Chopper built by Orange County Choppers will be on display. The first 1,500 fans (age 12 and under) will receive Dr. Seuss Hats featuring the Flames logo.
