The teams played much better in the second period as five goals were scored. The Islanders lead 3-2 after forty minutes. Parise has both of the Wild goals and Strome has a pair of assists for the Islanders.

Hard to imagine him lasting the season if things stay bad but it's super early and they're only 2-3. Goaltending has been just terrible too... so, I'll hold off on judgement for another few weeks

That was a good goal, 1-1 after twenty minutes. Vrbata scored 33 seconds into the game.

Canucks have a Flames like start in Anaheim (Cogliano scores in the opening minute)

Bizarre timing coincidence with Cogliano's goalas it happened just 33 seconds into the game, just like Vrbata's goal in the Rangers game. The Canucks tied the game with 33 seconds left in the first period, Horvat with a shorthanded goal.

No bias here because I hate both those clubs.
But if the boot fits.

I think both jerseys look great.
I hope the Oilers keep it going. The more Canadian teams that can make the playoffs the better.

I really wish all this Corsi and advanced stats bull#### would crawl back under the rock that it crawled out from. It's some mystical belief in that garbage that seems to be the reason that the flames are in the mess they are in right now.

Gross.
I hope all Canadian teams except the Flames miss the playoffs for the next 1,000 years.

Canucks finally lose in regulation as they drop a 4-2 decision to the Ducks.

A Leafs fan posting on a Flames message board hoping the Oilers make the playoffs.
What is the point?

Wait. The flames are in the position they're on because of a belief in corsi?
That's an interesting take for sure

Because this is also a hockey forum in general. I posted in the OOT thread. Sorry for not following the Oilers suck, harhar tripe.
I hope the Canadiens make the playoffs too. That way I have a team to cheer against. It's much more fun watching your rival team's fans heart broken in the playoffs. Missing the playoffs is just anti-climatic.

You knew exactly what you were doing, even in an OOT thread. 99% of fans here are Calgary Flame fans.
Posting you want to see the Oilers in the playoffs is just looking for a reaction. I was dumb enough to give you one.
