I thought it dragged in the middle, but I binged all 10 1/2 hr episodes on Sunday, so it's doing something right.

Don't forget that there's a legit documentary on the real GLOW available on Netflix too!

The glow documentary is almost a must watch if you want to get the most out of the Glow series.

Its hilarious and tragic at the same time, only one of the girls got a full time wrestling career out of Glow and that was Ivory of WWE fame.

They talked about one of the girls pretty much career ending injuries and the serious later life health problems of some of the wrestlers.

But it puts into perspective a lot of the things that you see in the series.

Glow is a lot of fun. Only problem is it flies by. Fortunately the documentary is fun too, as others have mentioned.

Alison Brie looks quite different from her Community days. It's like they spliced her with Kirsten Wiig's DNA or something. I wasn't even fully sure it was her until I saw the credits.

Hopefully they add a few more episodes to the length of next season.

I think Alison Brie knocks it out of the park. You really see her acting range as she's experimenting with characters in the show.

Additionally Marc Maron should win an award for his role. You love and hate him at the same time.

The show mirrored itself so well, the fact it was a wrestling soap opera about a wrestling soap opera was simply beautiful.

I burned through those episodes of Glow. It was pretty great. I wasn't expecting them to be 30 minute episodes though.

The height of the series thus far was the main event fight for me, the sound track worked really well.

I loved the entrance of Koya and her tag team partner. And the entire thing was predicated on a con of Debbie's husband.

The match choreography was simple, and the move set was limited.

I remember I talked to Bret Hart once and he basically told me it takes years to become a wrestler that can wrestle any kind of match and look credible and not hurt his opponent. These girls were trained over a matter of weeks.

This is Godiva vs Daisy

The matches were very simple, a lot of punch kick strut, snap mares body slams and the rare high risk move.

Tag team match between Hollywood and Vine and Tina (Ivory) and Ashley

The wife and I finished GLOW last night and we both loved it. Alison Brie absolutely killed it this season, she was always good on Community, but she really dials her performance up on GLOW.

As a bit of a wrestling nerd, I loved that they showed the women working through their match sequences and building up the story in the ring. And even details like bandaging each other up after "fighting" each other in the ring, I've never been backstage at a wrestling show... but it felt like a real peak behind the curtain.

Spoiler!

If you enjoyed Marc Maron's performance you should check out his IFC show Maron. It only ran for four season, but it's essentially a fictionalized version of Marc, and delivers a similar cynical/black comedy type of character. I think it's available on Netflix as well.

Does one have to be a wrestling fan to appreciate this show? I have absolutely no interest in wrestling.

Wrestling to Glow is like Sleighs to Citizen Kane.

It's more a plot device than anything else.

Besides you get to see the Future Mrs. Q-Scout topless, what more do you want from a show?

The view of Britannica was breath taking.

Or High School Football in Friday Night Lights. It's part of the plot, but one does not have to have any interest in it to like the show.

I just finished GLOW, thought it was excellent.

Watched Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press. Pretty good, but I think it could have delved much more into this growing phenomena.

It mostly focused on Hogan's trial against Gawker then briefly relates it to the powerful trying to control or even silence the media. I think there is much more to explore and analyze there.

Still, brought to light some things I didn't know were going on, like with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Interesting.

Would recommend for lighter documentary viewing.

I find it amusing that that's the story they center their "silencing the media" angle around.

A total piece of #### media empire trying to peddle a sex tape as journalism. It gave me a good chuckle as I skipped by it in the Netflix menu.

To be fair they don't exactly sanctify Gawker and their struggle, and they made a pretty good connection with it to a much larger and very frightening issue.

After it was over I just wished they had stuck with that issue and expanded it.

Wow, thanks for the Glow recommendation. I'm 5 episodes in and I started last night.

Marc Maron is phenomenal in this.
