Wow what a bizarro win. All that happened plus Martin starts at 3B. That was a memorable win.
5-5 in their last 10 now.
Could be a win to build on.

Salty should be DFA'd.
Bring up Luke Maile. At least Maile will make contact with the ball while batting.

Whoa! Just saw the high lights from that game. Seems like I missed a good one!
Nice to see the good guys win a one run game!
That Coghlan dive was insane!

With tonight's crazitude, #Bluejays are now 3-2 when their bullpen blows a save. They're 3-12 when they don't. #Jays

So help me out with this. The reason Russell played at 3rd base was so Salty could be in the line-up? The know Russell is struggling at the plate, but Salty is hitting under 0.050. Seems like a really odd move by Gibby.

It was also to give Russell's knees (most of) a day off from catching but to keep his bat in the lineup when there was no DH available.

Martin can't catch every day, Jays manager will have the games plotted out when Martin is scheduled to rest. (i.e. not as the Catcher.. Knees etc)
However Martin over the last three games has went 5 for 11.

Okay, I see. So they needed to give Martin rest from catching, and therefore Salty was in anyway. Martin was doing better lately though, so put him at 3rd base to keep his bat in the line-up.
