NordVPN is very easy to install and use. Literally uses a map to select where to base your connection from.

I still get geo-block errors. Though I just realized they might be restricting my DNS ...

Prime just got a whole lot more valuable. The quick shipping is nice, but hard for me to justify personally. Throw in some shows and movies, along with the shipping perk, and I'm sold. That's less than $7/month.

I wonder if they'll eventually jack up the price now that video is included? I believe that US Prime is $99 USD, but obviously the perks, offerings, content, etc. no doubt vary.

Now just need the books, music and grocery delivery thrown into the package, and we're golden.

I'm actually really unhappy with Prime shipping lately. Ordered 2 small, in stock items on Monday morning that were '2 day' prime eligible, and they are arriving Friday as 'on time' deliveries according to my order status. When I chatted with Amazon.ca support they saw nothing wrong with calling a five day delivery '2 day shipping'... So yea, clearly not prioritizing like they used to.

a bit of a soft launch for the streaming; I receive amazon "sales" daily, and so far no mention of this.

Lately as in during this holiday period? I can't recall in the past, but I think they do things like turn off 1 day shipping and such. They haven't been too bad for me last few weeks.

I even subscribed to the newsletter they set up for the worldwide launch of The Grand Tour. Not a peep about this at all.

I found out just by Googling it this morning to see if there was any news on the launch. Found news articles and Reddit posts saying it was live...went to amazon.ca, and sure enough, there it was.

Aside from some of the Amazon Originals, the rest of the content seems pretty blah.

If I were to pick just one Amazon Original what would you recommend?

This happens during Christmas. Prime is no-longer 2 day.

iOS app is available in Canada as well.

Sucks that there's no Chromecast support. Why wouldn't they make the Fire TV available to Canadians the same day?

Also, what's the deal with the Echo? I'd love to add more Dots to my house without having to wait for a friend to go to the US. Amazon really sucks at rolling things out.

Edit: Rant continues...

And what about Amazon Household accounts? I don't need subscription diapers through Amazon Family I need to link accounts. Why are multiuser accounts a US only thing?

'Alexa, add beard cream to my shopping list'
'Ok. Beard cream was added to Jennifer's shopping list.'

That was funny for about two days.

^ Absolutely agree about making fire tv products available at same time. Big miss not doing so.
Prime Video works perfectly on my firesticks

Lol... Amazon made an Apple TV 'shopping app', no Prime Video streaming.

Yea, and it's not just Canada. Amazon has not made their video service available on Apple TV or Google streaming devices in the US either. Which I suppose is their right, it just seems petty.

Though there is an Amazon Video Roku app in the states. We'll see, they might launch it in Canada as well.

That, and it's deliberately worded as 2 day shipping, not "delivered 2 days after ordering". They sure take their time getting around to the shipping part of the process these days.

I think I'd describe Amazon's video content as....a Blockbuster from 2003.

I mean...Gigli? Really?

(Other than Amazon original content of course)
