Dunst slapping Schumer for flirting with her husband might have been funny.

She's actually married to uncool Matt Damon?

I guess Fargo and Calgary really brings couples together... lol

Anyone who thinks whatever Will Smith is doing in “King Richard” is a finer demonstration of acting than Denzel’s Macbeth deserves the slap Chris Rock ate.

lets not pretend this is anything but Will Smith misguidedly trying to regain his "masculinity" in the eyes of his wife after she destroyed it on national TV while he sat there looking sheepish.

Everything about the guy is phony. From turning down The Basketball Diaries because he was worried about how a gay role would impact his career, to his music, to his persona.

Will Smith is absolutely a joke, but so are the Oscars. So it all kind of fits together nicely.

For slapping someone? Anyway looked real to me but Chris Rock didn’t miss a beat.

Quite the moment, it’s what social media was invented for. I had forgotten the Oscars were tonight.

I liked King Richard FWIW.

The way he calmly approached Rock and equally as calmly walked away was…extra psychotic

Uh, yea. It's generally considered assault. Try it and see how it works out for you.

CODA winning best picture is disappointing. I liked the movie, and I liked the subject as it dove into a topic that is typically not touched upon, however the movie itself was pretty pedestrian. From the acting to the script, it was all so bland. I mean it was a feel good movie that I would watch on a plane and forget about almost immediately. To come out on top of Dune or Licorice Pizza or Power of the Dog is absolutely insane to me.

What's the over/under on how long it takes until someone creates a video of Will Smith's character from Independence Day saying, "Welcome to Earth!" and then smash-cutting to Smith smacking Chris Rock in the face?

If someone joked about my wifes medical condition with me in the room the outcome would be much the same, just maybe not with a open hand

I choose "it's already happened". Is that the under?

Hid award should be taken away, that's an assault and can't be condoned.

I am not advocating it for sure. But suggesting that every slap has led to a charge of assault seems rather over the top, no? Don’t you have to hurt someone for it to be assault?

Guess I’m just not quite there on the “he broke the law” argument. Seems like people get slapped once in a while.
