Watched it, it wasn't too bad. Definitely a stylized drama and not a documentary, so don't expect bulletproof historical accuracy but it was interesting enough to hold my attention for an hour. It's by the same guy who did "The Tudors" and definitely feels similar to that show only with a bit more of an edge.

Just watched the first 4 episodes of the series and think it is really good. Some of the acting is a tad weak, but some is also very solid (Gabriel Byrne being the best, IMO) and I like the plot so far. Will definitely continue to watch.
Also, the dude that plays Ragnar Lothbrok looks alot like the dude that plays Jax on Sons of Anarchy, IMO.

My PVR eff'ed up twice recording this, I blame my daughter. I am going to try it on Wednesday again.
Gods must be against me.
You must not be in favor with Thor he didn't bless you with his Hammer lol.
I'm hooked on this show the Earle is vile and it will be interesting to see if the writers evolve Ragnar as a ethical warrior via through his own values and the monk.
Its kind of hard to like a band of un merry men that travel the land butchering unarmed villagers and priest.
If you are able to PVR this weeks episode its worth it. The story really ramps up.

Very happy to hear it's been picked up for another season. I've been really enjoying the series so far. I don't know enough about the real history to know how much they're stretching the truth but I prefer excitement over historical accuracy when watching serialized TV.
Good thing to remember...when sacrificing to Odin, use a Viking made knife. If you use a Nepalese Kukri it offends Odin and he sends a plague to your village as punishment.
