Default HTC Desire keeps semi dropping my wireless.

Hey all I have a new HTC Desire HD, I freakin love it but it seems when it goes to sleep and I wake it up even though the wireless connection is still on and appears connected the connection is somehow broken. I need to stop my wireless and start it again to get it to work again.

Thankfully this task is very easy to do with the HTC widget that comes with it. But still a bit of a pain, plus I don't know it happened until I try to open facebook, email or any web using application and get the error. Everything looks fine and I still seem to get notices. I almost always have my 3g turned off when at home... Anyone know why this happens? Is their a router or phone setting I can change to fix the issue?

I tried googling but the issues I saw as a result seem more permanent and severe than what I am experiencing.

That is strange...do you have "enable always on mobile data" checked off? it is settings -> Wireless & Networks ->mobile networks.

It means if your phone is asleep, it will turn off Data and re-connect once you wake up the phone. You will still be able to make/receive calls/texts while data is disconnected.

check your wifi sleep policy under the advanced options

Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Wi-Fi Settings -> Menu -> Advanced

you'll want it set to never

Maybe I'll try unchecking it to see if I have the same issue/

I just got the HD... and I noticed in the power saver options there is a box that turns off wifi when power saver turns on, as well it disables all other heavy battery users... it happened to me and I went through everything and found it... don't know if you figured out the problem but you might want to look at that.

Settings -> Power Saver and it's in the power saver settings or you could just disable power saver.
