Her name is Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and she serves as the deputy White House press secretary. Today, she'll face reporters' questions amid an uproar around the FBI director's firing.
She's not as good of a liar, but I think she is too dumb to realize it.
They are traitors who have no interest in vindication of administration. They just care about maintaining power.
Senate is incredibly important as there cannot be a new FBI director until the senate confirms. Also any impeachment of Trump and Pence is pushed by the house, the trial takes place on the Senate floor. GOP controlled senate has already signalled where their interests are with Mitch's Statement.
The problem is, Trump can simply appoint an "acting director" without requiring Senate confirmation.
Acting director will be a sycophant, and the investigation will get waylaid until it is dropped.
My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that the investigation into Trump / Russia has not as yet been changed to a criminal one. Trump acting now to fire Comey is cutting this whole thing off at the knees.

Nope, that's it. We're done here. Democracy has run its course. Shut it down.

How to avoid senate confirmations: hire your man as the deputy whatever, then fire the whatever, your guy is now the whatever.
A loophole allowed the Trump administration to install a Wall Street lawyer to take over one of the nation’s most powerful regulators without a hearing or confirmation.
This is weird, I was thinking about a week ago, the Rock would be a great Dem nominee. Was trying to think who the Dems could get to counteract the Trump phenomena, since the WH is now reality TV.
Imagine him giving the eye brow to Putin.

Yup, and now the man who recused himself from the Russia investigation is interviewing candidates to fill the job of the interim replacement who would be overseeing the Russia investigation.
If I were Trump, I'd be bracing myself for a major leak from within the FBI. All previous leaks might have been mere warning shots for what they could release if they perceive Trump as trying to shut down their investigation through undemocratic channels. The classless way that they notified Comey probably doesn't earn them much sympathy within the FBI, either.
