A bad Bayern team is usually still miles better than a good Arsenal team.

Arsenal didnt get played off the pitch or anything, so in a way, thats kind of a win?

I think they may have preferred to have been played off the pitch? Cause if you get your ass kicked then there's no what ifs, it's just the better team won. But it's not like Bayern were amazing in this tie, I'd give Bayern no higher than a B for their effort. I don't think Arsenal or their fans should be ashamed or anything like that, but you just never know when your window is your window. In theory Arsenal could make the QF again next year, with a better team, but run into Bayern again who are also better, and lose again. Twas a good opportunity that went to waste.

I think a 'B' for Bayern is even generous.

Both Bayern and Real put in 'Professional' performances.

They understand game management and have a few game-breakers.

That was 'rope-a-dope' at its finest on both stages. It wasn't pretty to watch, but its what they do.

Brain dead moment really.
It wasn't a "challenge for the ball" it was a hold and would still be red and PK.

Was it a hold though? Or was it a defender placing his hand on the attacker's shoulder and the attacker going to ground for no reason?

I don't see much of a difference between Araujo, as seen here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4uz...=NexusFootball

and Walker yesterday:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ansL...l=BallerSnazzy

Both defenders lift their arm to impede the attacker, one chooses to dive, the other stays on his feet.

Ducks

Walker is pretty even with Vinicius and takes away the inside.

Araujo's beaten by Barcola, speeds by him.

There was a similar red card by Vietnam yesterday at the Asian under 23s

At 1:56

Quiet in here.
Dublin breathes a huge sigh of relief.

Leverkusen is inevitable. 90+6 equalizer… again!

46 games unbeaten now, no loss in any competition

One of the greatest seasons ever

####ing fuming right now. Someone remind me again why Zwayer keeps getting those big games? Joke of a ref. There were so many close decisions going Leverkusens way at the end again, but that's just how it goes, I guess.

I wonder if Alonso is donating most of his Managerial salary to the Referee's association.

That being said, again, as you said Leverkusen is inevitable.

Just an unbelievable season.

Madrid look horrible so far, and you know what that means...

FT: Bayern 0, Real Madrid 1.

Toni Kroos still feels criminally underrated. What an amazing pass to create the goal

Hell of a few minutes for Bayern, great run by Sane to equalize, penalty goal for Kane right after, and they lead.
