I'm just as happy without him. Plus I'd put Lazar's younger legs in instead of Stajan. Let Bennett and/or Jankowski kill penalties instead of Stajan. Jankowski looks to be as good at Stajan at faceoffs (though his % can vary pretty wildly from game to game, he has had some very good ones). And he has that long reach which is valuable on the PK.
Stajan's a former Leaf. I'll let him have this one, and Lazar doesn't look like he's going to amount to anything as an NHLer anyway.

Another solid defensive performance like last game would be great! Need to be agressive against the Leafs forwards, passive and soft plays will see the puck in our net. GFG!

There is that. I don't know if he still cares, but if he does, he deserves it, and it might motivate him some.

If there's anything that can still get Matty Sr. going, it's this game. He always performs well against his former team. I think he's done now so can't bet on him doing well this time, but I'd rather give him the nod especially over Lazar against the Leafs anyway.

So the GTA boys, Familton and Matty Sr. should play tonight!

I would think, they are referring to one of the forwards within the projected Flames lineup.

Toronto boy Gio also has always has a great game against the Leafs, even before he was an upper echelon defenceman.

Those legs look lanky - I know it's the defensive corner, but my guess is Jankowski

Are you serious? Janko won't have played a game against the Leafs until tonight.

Based, on the photos, I thought it was Kulak based on the skates and sock tape (just overlapping the black stripe on the sock); also Engelland in the background:

I then cheated and looked up the photo on gettyimages. The caption shows the Leafs player as Connor Brown but it doesn't identify the Flames player: http://www.gettyimages.ca/license/639813202

However, I did confirm that Kulak did play in that game (January 23, 2017), the 4-0 loss a few days before the infamous "train ride" to Ottawa last year. https://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/cgy-v...10/recap#stats

Urgh...why do we keep playing Stajan.
Who cares if it's his former team from like 20 yrs ago

Ugh. Does it even matter that much anymore regarding just 1 game?

All the Flames 4th liners utterly suck now.

Speaking of Gio, it is time for my annual viewing of the aforementioned Kadri demolition and subsequent retaliatory fail parade.

Against a very fast and aggressive forechecking team, yes it does matter. A lot.
Lazar may have hands of stone but his speed would at least keep up with the game. It's bad enough we have Jagr trying to keep up now Stajan too. Just stupid.

Lazar isn't going to ever amount to anything as an NHLer at all most likely. Lazar has speed but literally nothing else. Stajan's done but I'd put him in for tonight.

Stajan in favour of Lazar if only for tonight and Dec 6th.
