Never thought i would say this but i hope the flames lose. This year has been terrible and the flames need a top 3 pick more than any other team in the NHL.
Its a fight for a top 3 pick with the Av's, Florida and now Carolina. If the flames win 3 games out of the remaining games they will be out of a top 3 pick. They might be out of top 3 pick with 2 wins. I think the flames will beat Chicago at the end of the season. Chicago has nothing to play for in that last game and will bench some "a" players and hope the secondary players don't get hurt.
To ensure a top 3 pick the flames can not win more than 1 game, in which i think the one win is against Chicago. To risky for the flames to win 2 and lose out on top 3.

Gonna be a snooze fest I suspect. Prediction a 5-3 Coyotes win, Sven with one, Horak with 2 helpers, Brodie with one.

I think i'd like to see a loss tonight, followed by a win against the oilers. However, I don't want that to affect our place in the standings.

A good test for both sides...

I don't think this is much of a test for the Flames. Team just needs to lose and there's no pressure on the young guys. And the vets just want the season over with.

I'm going to the Oilers game tomorrow, so I hope the Flames lose tonight so they have more incentive to beat the Oilers tomorrow.
THAT'S why kipper is playing tomorrow and not tonight.

At this point there is nothing wrong with hoping the team loses out. Anyone who says people wanting the Flames to lose are not true fans are making a pretty stupid statement. There is zero benefit to winning at this point but there is much to be gained for the betterment of the team by losing. It is hard to cheer for a team you are so passionate about to lose but you have to look at the big picture. I hope the Flames lose every game for the rest of the season.

3-0 Flames.
Goals by Baertschi, Tanguay and Stempniak.

I like the sentiment on the kids doing well - would love to see that and I agree with the 3-0 prognostication, but the only way Tanguay scores is if the puck hits his ass on the way in.

I am expecting a entertaining game at the dome tonight. Lets see if the future is here?? Now that I have accepted the rebuild, it is win-win, Flames win, we win, Flames lose, we win.

Sven breaks his goal scoring slump in the NHL, and McDonald puts in a valiant effort but the Flames fall 4-2.

It is so painful to read GDT anymore, with everyone cheering for a loss. I just can't do it. I realize (because I have been lectured on this site repeatedly) that it is in the teams best interest to do as poorly as possible, but god dammit I want this team to play well and win.
3-2 Flames.
