I'm not qualified enough to list my own ranking.

He was drafted 8th this year, but is now the 3rd's highest ranked player from this draft according to that list.

Why?

Why?
The person who ranked him loved Nylander. This has been answered by me already.

But that's not good enough for you. It's a "Toronto Conspiracy" by company that just named Toronto dead last in terms of franchises in sports.

· He was ranked by #9 in Bob MacKenzie's entry draft rankings, which is an average ranking compiled from a variety of independent sources and a range of NHL team scouts
· He was drafted drafted #8 by Toronto, which would not only align closely with MacKenzie's average ranking, but would in turn suggest that he was heading into the summer the #9 ranked 2014 draftee.
· This is NOT factoring into consideration any of the 2011–13 draftees who will be making their NHL rookie debuts this season. The insertion of players such as Johnny Gaudreau, Teuvo Teravainen, Ryan Strome, Filip Forsberg, Rasmus Ristolainen, Josh Morrisey and others.

No, it really hasn't since you trotted out the hyperbolic assertion that

The problem here that needs to be addressed was your extrapolation of this one ranking to the rather outlandish conclusion that Willie Nylander is now the "fourth best prospect in the world".

And can you stop with hitting on the "Toronto conspiracy" nonsense? No one is interested.

Quit calling them ESPNs ratings. They are Cory Pronmans ratings published on ESPN

The Leafs have never been good in my lifetime. With Phaneuf as captain, I do not see that changing in the forseeable future.

You must be really young then (which would explain your Jets are a powerhouse comment) because the Leafs were good in the last 15 years. In the early 2000's they were a real good team.

Yep the mid 90's to 03-04 Leafs were a steady playoff team. First the Potvin era to the Cujo era and then the Belfour Era, it kind of went off of the rails when they went and bought into Raycroft (Trading away Rask). Since then, they've blundered through bad trades and ridiculous signings and poorly built teams.

They were never a Stanley Cup contender. Sure, they had a few good seasons where they nearly went somewhere. However, the Leafs could not finish the job. 1993 and 94 are they really the only seasons they could have won the Cup.

Also, in this list I just made up in my head, William Nylander is the 363rd best prospect. Btw did you know that William Nylander was just Ranked the 363rd best prospect in the world?!

The Leafs were good in the early 2000s when there was no salary cap. That advantage went away in 2004, and they can't spend their way out of bad decisions.

In a way Yes. You did. You took one article written by one smuck that was published by ESPN and made it into the whole ESPN brand says that he is . In reality its one guy with that opinion and not the company as a whole.

What you are saying with ESPN and Pronmans Single ranking would be like me Saying my ranking is the whole worlds official ranking because I'm part of the world.

Actually, what he did was even worse than that. He took one man's opinion and tried to argue that it correlated to the entire world's position.

Good luck getting BigTuna to use actual facts to support his claims.

Our last discussion revolved around how terrible and over-payed Mason Raymond is now that he's not a Maple Leaf.
