They aren't associated with each other. Local 510 and Local 522 are the same thing, and they have 20 oz pints.

A US fl.oz. is 29.5735mL and a US pint is 16 US fl.oz. (473.176mL).
It would only be 591mL if you were using a US fl.oz. to make an Imperial pint.
What a stupid system.

Canada always used the Imperial system, so there should be no confusion.
Since we changed over to metric, I guess some of the young ones only get input from the false American system and the confusion begins.

And I think the same as Local by Kits beach in Vancouver. Good spot, but wouldn't be surprised if they have undersized pints.

Brewsters. Think they have both 16oz and 20oz on the menu but if you ask for a pint, you get the 20.
Also, I think I've read that CliffFletcher story a few times now and love it every time

Agree that we should go to a euro system with a marking at 50 cL (and 33cL if wanted)

Scoring Winger
|
If it's stated that it's 16 oz presumably it costs 80% of what it would have cost if it had been 20 oz so I don't see that as a big deal, similar to everyone going to 5 oz glasses of wine, keeps the price down. I agree calling it a pint without specifying that it's 16 oz is wrong but that's not legal per liquor rules. Never mind calling the feds complain to the AGLC it will get much faster results.

As an Engineer, I deal with this stupid stuff all the time. A tank or concrete reservoir manufactured in Canada pre-metric is in imperial gallons. Pumps are bought off Americans and rated in US gallons per minutes. However, they both just say gallons. It drives me nuts and I've had to fix more than one spreadsheet over this.

I don't know what surprises me more - the fact 16 oz is called a pint, or that steampunk has become a thing in alcohol marketing.

It's OK, but way to sweet. Good to share a can. Co-op liquor has them and a ginger one which is a bit less sweet. Do yourself a favour and don't look at the calorie counts...

I love the sweet ones so that might be good for me. Coney Island is my fave, just like drinking and A & W rootbeer. It's my go to golfing beer and I won't get too drunk cause you can't drink too many before it becomes too sweet.

Was at bookers bbq and crab shack last night. Pints there are only 14 ozs. Pretty soon they'll start coming in shot glasses.

Not exactly what you'd want to drink a good, craft beer in though.
