Former Flames draft pick Kevin Lalande still in net for Belarus against Finland. (Been their starter for 3-4 years.)

(Finland up 2-0 after first after an expectedly one-sided first period.)

And people complain the Flames can't develop goaltenders...

Wasn't former Flame, Jason Muzzati a goalie for Italy in the Olympics when they hosted as well?

20 seconds in Gaudreau has a breakaway. No goal, but man. He responded.

Thanks for that - I just can't believe TSN couldn't put that game on one of their channels (four are showing the Canada - Czech Republic game).

Yea, I'm a bit annoyed by that as well. I'm actually more interested in the USA game just so I can watch Gaudreau.

If I could ask Gaudreau to work on one thing this off season, it would be lifting the puck on breakaways / in tight.
This could be (is likely to be) related to his hand injury but it was noticeable prior to that as well.

More dancing from Gaudreau and somehow the puck went 5-hole but also wide

Wow Gaudreau with a gorgeous spin move then deked through Greiss (like his shootout move vs Anderson in OTT) but it slides through the five hole wide.

In the Canada game, they're talking about the versatility of Ryan O'Reilly, and it occurred to me that he's exactly what I think Sam Bennett will turn into. Versatile, can play pk and pp, can play centre, but could also be a winger. Probably won't ever put up ppg numbers, but brings so much more.
